FanDuel NFL Value Plays: Week 13
Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill hopes will look to keep things rolling after a great Week 12 performance

Welcome to the Week 13 edition of the FanDuel value plays. Week 13 features 13 games on the main slate, since there are only two teams on the bye this week. Let’s go ahead and dive right into my favorite value options on FanDuel for Week 13.

Quarterback

Matt Barkley (CHI): $6,000 vs. SF
Barkley had a solid fantasy day in Week 12, throwing for three touchdowns and more than 300 yards. It could have been even better if it weren’t for two dropped passes in the endzone by the Bears’ wide receivers on their final drive of the game. This week he has an outstanding matchup against the 49ers, who are one of the worst in the league in defending the pass.

Running Back

Theo Riddick (DET): $6,500 at NO
Riddick did not have a great game on Thanksgiving Day, but his matchup was pretty tough against the Vikings. This week he has an excellent matchup against the Saints, who have allowed the fourth-most FanDuel points to opposing running backs. Currently, this game has the highest projected total, so Riddick is a great option for getting cheap exposure to this game.

Carlos Hyde (SF): $6,700 at CHI
Hyde was limited to only 13 carries in Week 12, but that was probably due to the 49ers playing catch up with the Dolphins for most of the day. Hyde should see a much more favorable game flow against the Bears since the 49ers are currently only one point underdogs on the road. On paper this matchup looks terrible, but the Bears’ defense continues to lose key pieces. Two weeks ago Jerrell Freeman was suspended for PEDs, and last Sunday Danny Trevathan went down with a season-ending injury.

Wide Receiver

Tyreek Hill (KC): $5,800 at ATL
Hill had a monster game in Week 12 in a difficult matchup against the Broncos, scoring a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown and a kick return touchdown. This week he has a much more favorable matchup against the Falcons, who are missing key pieces on defense. Even if Jeremy Maclin suits up this week, Hill is still in play. He’s much more explosive than Maclin and the Chiefs would be wise to continue to increase his usage.

Marquess Wilson (CHI): $5,400 vs. SF
Wilson had a great game against the Titans last week, with eight receptions, 125 yards and a touchdown. With Alshon Jeffery out for another couple of weeks, Wilson should continue to be the lead receiver for the Bears, since he appears to have some good chemistry with Barkley. Also, he has an excellent matchup this weekend against the 49ers, who have allowed the most FanDuel points to opposing wide receivers this season.

Tyler Boyd (CIN): $5,400 vs. PHI
Boyd continues to see a decent amount of targets with A.J. Green and Giovani Bernard out of the picture with injuries. In his previous two games he has had eight and nine targets, respectively. That trend should continue this week against the Eagles, who have been weak in the secondary this season and have played noticeably worse on the road.

Tight End

Ladarius Green (PIT): $4,500 vs. NYG
Green saw his snap count increase from 12% to 26% from Week 11 to Week 12 and it has been announced that he will see another increase in snaps with another week removed from injury. Even though he only had two receptions last week against the Colts, he showed off his athletic ability. This week he has a decent matchup against the Giants, who are only middle of the pack against opposing tight ends this season.

Kicker

Josh Lambo (SD): $4,600 vs. TB
Lambo did not have a great day last week in Houston, missing his only field goal attempt and only kicking three extra points. He should bounce back this week against the Buccaneers, who despite playing better on defense over the past few weeks are not great.

D/ST

New England Patriots: $4,600 vs. LA
The Patriots’ defense is in a great spot this weekend with a home matchup against Jared Goff and the Rams. The Patriots’ are not an elite defense by any means, but they are great at game planning and taking away the opposing team’s best option on offense, who is Todd Gurley. Also, rookie quarterbacks have been unsuccessful over the years against Bill Belichick’s defenses and there is no reason to believe that Goff will break that trend.
