Can Joe Flacco turn in another top performance Week 14?
With more and more fantasy owners opting to wait on the quarterback and tight end positions in drafts, streaming each position has become a viable option. This is made easier by the fact that there are usually solid options on the waiver wire. Each week this column will scour the waiver wire and look for quarterbacks and tight ends who are owned in fewer than 50% of leagues and could be worth starting for your fantasy team.

Quarterback
Joe Flacco (BAL): 23% owned @ New England
Flacco is coming off his best performance of the season, hanging 381 yards and four touchdowns on the Dolphins in Week 13. He should stay hot in Week 14 against a New England pass defense that has not been all that effective this season. The Patriots are allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to opposing signal callers and are ranked just 28th in the league in pass defense DVOA according to Football Outsiders. Flacco shapes up as a strong streaming option in Week 14 in a Monday night game that could be high scoring.
Brock Osweiler (HOU): 10% owned @ Indianapolis Colts
Osweiler’s play has been spotty this season, and he’s better used as an option in deeper leagues and two-quarterback formats. That being said, he does pull a plus matchup against a leaky Colts pass defense in Week 14. Indianapolis’ pass defense ranks 30th in DVOA and is allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing signal callers on the year. Osweiler turned in one of his better games of the season the last time these two teams met, passing for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
Tight End
Ladarius Green (PIT): 23% owned @ Buffalo Bills
Green’s breakout finally happened in Week 13 as he went crazy against the Giants. After spending most of the season on injured reserve and then being slowly worked into the offense, Green led Pittsburgh in receiving in Week 13, hauling in six catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. The Bills are only allowing 6.6 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends, but their pass defense is 27th in the league against the position according to Football Outsiders’ advanced metrics. Green is a fantastic play in Week 14 if you need a tight end.
C.J. Fiedorowicz (HOU): 40% owned @ Indianapolis Colts
Fiedorowicz continues to be a major part of the Texans’ passing attack, leading the team in Week 13 with six receptions. The big tight end has seen five or more targets come his way in every game since Week 3. The last time the Texans took on the Colts was back in Week 6, where Fiedorowicz caught six passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Indianapolis has struggled against tight ends this season, allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the position.
