C.J. McCollum is due for another huge night with Lillard out

Welcome back to Thursday’s FanDuel NBA Lineup Advice. I’d like to start with wishing everyone a Happy New Year! Check out my lineup advice below for a Thursday high eight-game slate.  I will also continue to add a daily low-priced (under $5,000) value play to each position under those other players to consider.

Tonight’s games and point projection totals:

BKN vs. IND – 218
UTA vs. TOR – 199
CHA vs. DET – 207
ATL vs. NO – 208
OKC vs. HOU – 224
PHX vs. DAL – 204
SA vs. DEN – 213
LAL vs. POR– 216

Point Guards

Russell Westbrook (OKC): $12,400 at HOU
Westbrook is an elite fantasy option in any league so including him in your daily lineup would always be a smart play. Westbrook is projected to be the highest-scoring player of the night in FanDuel while facing the Rockets in what expects to be the highest-scoring game of the night. Westbrook is coming off two back-to-back 30-point games against the Hornets and Bucks. PLAY YOUR STUDS!

Tony Parker (SA): $4,600 at DEN
Parker has returned to form over this previous five games with at least 13 points in each of those games while posting at least three assists as well in each of those previous five games. Parker draws a more than favorable matchup against the Nuggets, who allow the second most fantasy points to opposing point guards. A rest game is also unlikely as they are not on a back-to-back set.

Also Consider:
Jeff Teague (IND) : $7,800
Dennis Schroder (MIA): $6,800
Shelvin Mack (UTA): $3,800 (daily value play)

Shooting Guards

James Harden (HOU): $12,000 vs. OKC
Another elite fantasy option on a nightly basis, Harden will go against his former team and another chance at a revenge game. Pairing the two top players in fantasy, Westbrook and Harden, hopefully sets you up for a good night in daily play. PLAY YOUR STUDS!

C.J. McCollum (POR): $8,000 vs. LAL
McCollum has been absolutely on fire lately with Damian Lillard on the shelf. Over the previous five games played by McCollum with Lillard out, McCollum is averaging over 31 points per game, 4.6 assists per game, 4.2 rebounds per game to go along with over one steal per game. McCollum has been out of his mind good shooting over 49 percent from the floor.

Also Consider:
Nicolas Batum (CHA) : $7,800
Devin Booker (PHX): $5,900
Sean Kilpatrick (BKN): $4,400 (daily value play)

Small Forwards

Bojan Bogdanovic (BKN): $4,100 at IND
Bogdanovic draws a favorable matchup against the Pacers with more opportunities to score on Thursday with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson out due to injury. Bogdanovic even had a recent 26-point performance. Look for him to get his opportunities especially with Sean Kilpatrick struggling lately.

Brandon Ingram (LAL): $3,500 at POR
Ingram is expected to start on Thursday with Luol Deng likely out with a shoulder injury. Ingram draws a favorable matchup in a potential shootout against the Blazers. Ingram presents some risk with his 33 percent shooting percentage in December but still has seen heavy minutes while coming off the bench and seen a few spots starts for Deng or Julius Randle.

Also Consider:
Kawhi Leonard (SA) : $8,500
Gordon Hayward (UTA): $7,700
Marcus Morris (DET): $4,300 (daily value play)

Power Forwards

Tobias Harris (DET): $5,900 vs. CHA
Harris leads all Pistons with 16.4 points per game this season even while coming off the bench of late. Harris has boosted his scoring output while coming off the bench to 19.9 points per game over his previous five games while adding about seven rebounds a game. A favorable matchup against Marvin Williams and the Hornets sets up Harris to produce well for daily owners at a reasonable price.

Derrick Favors (UTA): $4,500 at TOR
Favors played 29 minutes on Tuesday, the most minutes from Favors since November 11th! Favors seems to be getting closer and closer to full health and a matchup with the Raptors next on the schedule gives Favors another opportunity to produce for fantasy owners. The Raptors are in the top-10 in most fantasy points allowed to opposing power forwards and at this price, it’s worth plugging him in.

Also Consider:
Anthony Davis (NO): $11,100
Nikola Jokic (DEN): $7,100
Marvin Williams (CHA): $4,300 (daily value play)

Center

Tyson Chandler (PHX): $5,000 at DAL
Chandler, much like Harden, gets a chance for a revenge game against his former team the Mavericks. Chandler won an NBA title with the Mavericks so this would be bittersweet to pick up a win for the Suns in Dallas. Chandler is coming off a 20 rebound game against the Heat and could go for his fourth 20-board game of the season. Andrew Bogut is coming off the bench and has been limited giving Chandler a slight boost.

Also Consider:
Dwight Howard (ATL): $7,700
Rudy Gobert (UTA): $7,400
Montrezl Harrell (HOU): $4,700 (daily value play)
