Point Guard

Russell Westbrook (OKC): $12,500 vs GS
Tonight’s lineup will be a little bit of a break from my normal way of building my roster. Normally I don’t try to force more than one high-priced player onto my roster, but in honor of Kevin Durant’s return to OKC, tonight I’m going to make an exception. As if I wasn’t already excited enough to watch this game, I’m going to stack Westbrook and Durant in the same lineup just to add to the intrigue. I don’t think I need to explain to you with stats why I’ll be playing Westbrook, so let’s move on to the rest of the roster.

Jamal Murray (DEN): $4,000 @ CLE
Starting point guard Jameer Nelson played a whopping 36 minutes last night in New York, leaving Murray to play only 15 and score a mere 4.1 in FanDuel points. With this being the second game of a back-to-back, and with Nelson being an injury-prone older veteran, I doubt he plays that much tonight, leaving more minutes for Murray who had been playing well up until last night. The Cavaliers are bottom five in points allowed to opposing point guards and in the event this turns into a Cavs blowout, Murray will get all the junk-time minutes.

Shooting Guard

Devin Booker (PHO): $6,800 @ HOU
The other big proponent of this roster besides Durant and Russell is my Rockets/Suns stack. This game should rival the over/under of the Warriors/Thunder game, and there are much cheaper players to be had in this game. The Suns are a bad team and figure to get blown out, but blowouts don’t seem to affect Bookers minutes, meaning even in a blowout he should be able to put up some points. James Harden is playing better defense this year than he has in the past, but it is by no means “great” defense.

Will Barton (DEN): $6,200 @ CLE
Barton has been on a tear of late with games of 49.1, 44.9, and 35 over his last three. The Cavs are bottom four in the league over the last week — which coincides with Iman Shumpert’s injury. Shumpert is expected to be out again tonight, so look for Barton to flirt with 35-plus once again.

Small Forward

Kevin Durant (GS): $10,700 @ OKC
You know Durant has had this date circled on his calendar since the moment the schedule came out. Except for the playoffs, you know Durant wants to play his best game in this spot, and since the Warriors are running away with the West, they can afford to just let him shoot every time down the court. He could go for 60 tonight, and I don’t mean FanDuel points.

T.J. Warren (PHO): $4,500 @ HOU
Before only playing 18 minutes and scoring only 10.8 Fanduel points in Memphis in his last outing, Warren had been playing well with three straight games of 27 or more FD points. I’m going to chalk up his last game to the good defense of the Grizzlies and look for him to get back on track tonight in Houston. The Rockets are bottom five in points allowed to opposing small forwards, allowing a shade under 42 FD points per game.

Power Forward

James Johnson (MIA): $6,000 @ PHI
Johnson is coming off one of his best games of the season with a 43.6 FanDuel point effort in Brooklyn last night. The Sixers, without Joel Embiid, have not been a very good defensive team — giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to the opposition over the last week. Johnson will look to build on last night’s game and could flirt with the high 30s again tonight.

Marquese Chriss (PHO): $3,900 @ HOU
As I write this article, Chriss is still playing in his game versus Chicago, but I have complete confidence that, regardless of what he did last night by the time you read this, he can have a good game against the Rockets who rank in the bottom seven in points allowed to opposing power forwards.

Center

Clint Capela (HOU): $5,300 vs PHO
The fourth player from this game, but the first from the Hoston side, Capela has played very well since returning to the starting lineup. This game will be played at a breakneck speed, which actually benefits Capela as an athletic big man. He should get plenty of opportunities to score on the fast break and grab plenty of rebounds with the number of shots the Suns take.
