FanDuel NBA Lineup Advice: Wednesday (3/22)

Here we go again, guys! Another big FanDuel contest is in front of us, beginning at 7 PM. If you take down the NBA Shot, you will walk away with $25,000. Let’s get right down to it and look at a potential lineup you could use tonight to win.

Point Guard

Kyrie Irving (CLE): $9,000 @ DEN
Sure, Russell Westbrook is explosive, but he’s a tad expensive in regards to Irving’s salary. Saving $4K makes a huge difference in roster construction, and even though Westbrook will most likely outscore Irving, it’s well worth the saving. Not to mention that Irving is coming off a huge game against the Lakers. Irving has been pretty consistent and now against the Nuggets, Irving should have a good game.

Rajon Rondo (CHI): $5,400 vs DET
Despite the drama of Rondo’s 2008 Celtics championship reunion party, Rondo is priced right for this slate. Even though it’s not the best matchup, Rondo still is pretty serviceable. Rondo has seen over 30 minutes in four of his past five games, so it looks like he’s the go-to guy again at the point guard position.

Also Consider

T.J. McConnell (PHI): $5,600
Malcolm Brogdon (MIL): $5,000

Shooting Guard

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL): $10,000 @ SAC
Antetokounmpo is overpriced due to his inconsistency, but he has a great matchup against this poor defensive Kings team. He hasn’t seen more than 4X value over his past eight games, but that should change here. The Kings as I eluded to earlier, rank 26th in defensive efficiency rating. Anttokounmpo flirted with a triple-double as he put up 17 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists in his last game against the Kings.

Nik Stauskas (PHI): $3,800 @ OKC
Obviously, the Thunder play fast but are a tough defensive team. It’s not the best matchup, but Stauskas is so underpriced right now.  He has played 39 and 30 minutes respectively over the past two games while putting up over 25 FanDuel points in each game. With his price under $4,000, that’s extremely good value, even in this matchup.

Also Consider

Avery Bradley (BOS): $6,500
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET): $4,700

Small Forward

Robert Covington (PHI): $7,400 @ OKC
Exactly what I said about the Thunder still stands true here. Yes, Covington is almost double the price of Stauskas, but he’s clearly a more consistent and better player. Covington sees the minutes as he averages 31.7 minutes per game. He’s also coming off of a big game against Orlando when he put up close to 50 FanDuel points.

Taurean Prince (ATL): $3,900 @ WAS
Prince has seen an average of 30 minutes over his past three games while averaging well over 20 FanDuel points per game. It does help that Paul Millsap has been out and will miss tonight’s game as well, due to knee soreness. Obviously, it’s still a big risk playing the rookie, but it’s hard to deny his recent performances.

Also Consider

Khris Middleton (MIL): $6,400
Joe Ingles (UTA): $4,200

Power Forward

Marvin Williams (CHA): $6,700 @ ORL
Williams has had back to back games where he’s put up over 30+ FanDuel points per game. Although it’s not great for that price tag, Williams has been a pretty consistent contributor this year. Like most players, it’s all about minutes with Williams, and Williams is averaging 35 minutes per game over his past ten. He’s also averaging a double-double of 13.8 points and 10.1 rebounds in that same span. Orlando is a lackluster team who ranks in the bottom ten of rebound rate.

Willie Cauley-Stein (SAC): $6,200 vs MIL
Without DeMarcus Cousins, Cauley-Stein has had an immense opportunity. Since Cousins departure, Cauley-Stein is averaging 13.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He’s also seen 32.5 minutes per game which is outstanding. Unfortunately, Cauley-Stein’s price keeps rising and he is susceptible to having poor games like he did against the Thunder two games ago. Overall, though, Cauley-Stein has been effective in his new role.

Also Consider

Thaddeus Young (IND): $4,600
Ersan Ilyasova (ATL): $4,500

Center

Al Horford (BOS): $6,700 vs IND
For a good portion of the season, the Boston media has been saying Horford has been a huge bust, and while that is true, he’s seemed to turn around the DFS aspect of his game. Horford has really increased his rebound totals lately, averaging 8.2 rebounds over his past four games compared to his season-long average of 6.8 rebounds. As for the rebound rate of Indiana, they are even worse than Orlando, ranking at 27th in rebound rate. Look for Horford to continue his rebound increase here, which in turn definitely improves his DFS total.

Also Consider

Dwight Howard (ATL): $6,800
Cody Zeller (CHA): $5,000
