FanDuel NBA Value Plays: Wednesday (4/12)

Ish Smith should be able to finish the season strong

It’s the last day of the NBA regular season with almost every team in action for the 14-game slate scheduled. With most playoff positions locked up and a large chunk of teams with very little to play for, there are ample opportunities to find value in FanDuel options. Keep an eye on who is in and out of the lineups across the league, as there may be a lot of key players sitting. Below are some FanDuel plays that have the potential to offer much greater value than the amount they are priced at.

Guard

Ish Smith (DET): $5,600 vs. ORL
Smith is closing out the season as the Pistons’ lead guard and will continue to see extended minutes in the finale against a hapless Magic team. Over his past eight games, Smith has averaged 16.75 points, 6.0 assists, and 3.875—good for just under 30 FanDuel points per game (29.7).

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (PHI): $5,700 vs. NY
He’s coming off a career-high 24 points and has tallied at least 23 FanDuel points in eight consecutive games. He’s shouldered a large portion of the offensive workload for the Sixers of late and should be counted on again against a bad Knicks team.

Forward

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (BKN): $5,400 vs. CHI
The Nets have announced that they are sitting six players against the Bulls on Wednesday, which opens the door for Hollis-Jefferson. He should have lots of chances to excel for the shorthanded Nets, and enters the game with double-doubles in his past two contests. In those two games, he has scored over 40 FanDuel points in both contests and tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds against the Bulls in their meeting on Saturday.

Thaddeus Young (IND): $5,200 vs. ATL
Eight straight games in double-digits for Young as he has seen added minutes since Al Jefferson has been sidelined (ankle). He has tallied at least 30 FanDuel points in three of his past four and has averaged 16.0 points and 8.6 rebounds in the Pacers’ past five games. The Pacers will need Young to keep it up to ensure their spot in the playoffs.

Center

Willy Hernangomez (NYK): $5,100 vs. PHI
The Knicks young center tallied 24 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in his last game (48.7 FanDuel points) and has seen his usage increase during the final stretch of the season. Hernangomez should be able to take advantage of the Sixers frontcourt Wednesday night.
