Pitcher

Jake Arrieta (CHC): $10,900 vs. PHI
Jake Arrieta hasn’t looked as sharp in his last couple of outings but his advanced stats would suggest that he is having some back luck. Arrieta currently owns a 4.66 ERA and .324 BABIP but also a 3.23 SIERA.

His strikeout rate is up to a career-high 27.6% and his walk rate is down to 6.5%. The Phillies come into this game with one of the league’s highest strikeout rates (23.4%) while posting a below-average 96 wRC+.

The Cubs are the largest favorite (-200) on the slate and the Vegas run total is currently tied for the lowest at 7.5, giving the Phillies the lowest projected run total (2.89).

Jacob deGrom (NYM): $10,400 @ ATL
Jacob deGrom is currently the best pitcher the Mets have, coming into this game in terrific form racking up 35 strikeouts in his last three outings. His 34.4% strikeout rate and 2.80 SIERA are among the elite. His salary of $10,400 is a discount if you consider other pitchers that pose similar strikeout rates and upside.

The Braves are a decent offense that only strikeout 19.4 percent of the time, however, those strikeouts rates tend to increase when facing an elite pitcher like deGrom.

One might argue that deGrom isn’t the same pitcher on the road but in his last two road outings he struck out 12 batters in Washington and 13 in Miami. The Mets are going to have to rely heavily on deGrom with him now being the ace of the pitching staff.

Catcher

Yasmani Grandal (LAD): $3,200 vs. SF
Yasmani Grandal is always a viable option when hitting at home and facing a right-handed pitcher. Grandal is simply too cheap at $3,200 and is going to post massive numbers in similar situations, owning a .346 wOBA, 116 wRC+ and .196 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. Grandal also owns a solid 20.0% line drive rate along with a 42.9% hard hit rate.

Tonight is no different with Jeff Samardzija toeing the rubber for the Giants. Samardzija has been awful outside of AT&T Park this season, allowing a 30.0% line drive rate, 36.7% hard hit rate and a 6.48 FIP. The Dodgers are one of the best teams when facing right-handed pitching, ranking fourth in wOBA (.342) and seventh in wRC+ (.114).

First Base

Josh Bell (PIT): $3,300 @ CIN
The Pirates’ 24-year-old prospect is rounding into solid form in 2017, hitting right-handed pitching well with a .345 wOBA, 114 wRC+ and .154 ISO. Bell has been promoted into the two-hole when the Pirates are facing right-handed pitching, and he is projected to do so tonight.

Bell also gets a nice park boost in Cincinnati and will face Rookie Davis who is struggling mightily against left-handed hitters, allowing a .553 wOBA and 31.3% line drive rate.

Bell is viable in all formats due to his projected spot in the lineup and his high walk rate (16.1%) against right-handed pitching. The Pirates have one of the higher projected run totals tonight at 4.29.

Second Base

D.J. LeMahieu (COL): $4,000 @ SD
D.J. LeMahieu is projected to hit second in the Rockies’ lineup tonight and is the cheapest option between the top four hitters while having the position scarcity.

Even though LeMahieu doesn’t get the platoon advantage, opposing pitcher Jered Weaver will do plenty to help out, allowing a .394 wOBA, 4.50 HR/9 and 9.15 FIP against right-handed hitters this season.

LeMahieu gives you exposure to the Rockies’ lineup, and their projected run total (4.14) has already increased.

Third Base

Justin Turner (LAD): $3,800 vs. SF
Justin Turner is one of the hottest hitters in baseball and continues to rake in 2017, owning a .422 wOBA, 165 wRC+ and .146 ISO. His ISO would be much higher if it weren’t for a few wall scrapers, cold weather and big parks.

Turner has an elite 30.2% line drive rate and 37.2% hard hit rate that has him second in the league with 11 doubles. You can expect these doubles to turn into home runs as his 92.0 mph average exit velocity proves his power is real.

Samardzija’s road struggles were mentioned above, and Turner is a reverse-splits hitter who feasts at home, posting a .590 wOBA, 272 wRC+ and .273 ISO.

Shortstop

Corey Seager (LAD): $4,200 vs. SF
Corey Seager comes in as the third Dodger to crack today’s lineup. Seager is among the league’s elite shortstops and gets a platoon advantage while only costing $4,200 tonight.

Seager is destroying right-handed pitching this season, owning a .439 wOBA, 176 wRC+ and .220 ISO. He also has a solid 29.7% line drive rate and an absurd 57.5% hard hit rate. This is an easy plug-and-play option at shortstop tonight.

Outfield

Steven Souza Jr. (TB): $3,500 vs. MIA
It looks like Steven Souza Jr. is having his breakout season in 2017 with a solid .388 wOBA, 158 wRC+ and .194 ISO. Souza Jr. is projected to bat leadoff tonight and provides solid tournament upside with home run and stolen base capabilities.

Adam Conley is struggling this season and has to pitch under AL rules tonight. Conley is allowing a .348 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season along with a 22.7% line drive rate and 34.8% hard hit rate. His strikeout rate of 17.7% nearly matches his walk rate (14.7%), and he is posting a league-average 10.4% swinging strike rate.

Michael Conforto (NYM): $3,500 @ ATL
DraftKings simply doesn’t want to bump Conforto’s salary up. Take advantage of this price tag as it will eventually rise when Conforto is facing a right-handed starting pitcher.

The Braves’ new stadium SunTrust Park seems to be playing well for hitters and even more so for left-handed hitters. It’s going to be hot and humid tonight in Atlanta with the temps in the 80s, which will certainly help the ball carry.

Enough about salaries and ballparks. Let’s give credit where credit is due. Conforto is absolutely destroying right-handed pitchers this season, owning a .471 wOBA, 196 wRC+ and .339 ISO. Conforto is projected to leadoff tonight, and his power provides plenty of upside.

Jay Bruce (NYM): $3,200 @ ATL
Jay Bruce is having a resurgent 2017 campaign and has been one of the league’s best hitters when facing right-handed pitching, posting a .495 wOBA, 211 wRC+, .414 ISO and 46.6% hard hit rate.

I’m not quite sure why Bruce is only $3,200 on DraftKings, so take advantage of the soft pricing and power upside he provides.

Recommended Tournament Lineup

Jake Arrieta (CHC): $10,900 vs. PHI
Jacob deGrom (NYM): $10,400 @ ATL
Yasmani Grandal (LAD): $3,200 vs. SF

D.J. LeMahieu (COL): $4,000 @ SD
Justin Turner (LAD): $3,800 vs. SF
Corey Seager (LAD): $4,200 vs. SF
Steven Souza Jr. (TB): $3,500 vs. MIA
Michael Conforto (NYM): $3,500 @ ATL
Jay Bruce (NYM): $3,200 @ ATL
