DraftKings PGA Value Plays: Quicken Loans National

DraftKings PGA Value Plays: Quicken Loans National

Jordan Spieth continues to show why he is the best in the world right now after last week’s performance at the Travelers. He and Daniel Berger put on a show that will be remembered for years after Spieth’s chip in on the first playoff hole and subsequent caddie-bump with loop man Michael Greller. He won’t be teeing it up this week at the Quicken Loans National, but there are some guys on DraftKings that can be had at a great value. It’s time to pick that winning squad.

Value Plays

Kyle Stanley ($7,600)
Stanley has had a resurgent 2017 after a couple tough years, with four top-10s, including three in the last few months. A fourth place finish at The Players looks solid on anyone’s resume, and it appears that he is starting to find his form. His telltale stat from the season has to be his Greens In Regulation percentage which is a whopping 71%, good for second on Tour. He’ll look to keep throwing darts in D.C. this week. His 69 FPPG tower over other players in the same price range.

Charles Howell ($7,000)
Coming off an injury is never easy, especially in golf as many of the world’s best players have been playing week after week. However, Howell has a chance to pick up where he left off as he has not missed a cut yet and has four top-10 starts despite missing a few months due to injury. He was last listed at $8,200 before his injury, so the price drop is a welcome sight even though some might think that he will be a little rusty. However, consider that Howell, like Stanley, ranks well in GIR (13th).

Adam Hadwin ($6,900)
Even though Adam Hadwin has not finished inside the top-50 in his last four starts, he still is an absolute steal here. He sports two top-5 finishes, including a win back at the Valspar, and sits at 12th in the FedEx Cup standings. The low price is too good to pass up on as you can build your team around Rickie Fowler or Marc Leishman with ease and know that you have a guy at the back end who has the potential to win the tournament.

Don’t Forget About These Guys

  • Wesley Bryan ($7,000)
  • Lucas Glover ($6,900)
  • Sung Kang ($6,800)

Off the Cart Path

Jhonattan Vegas ($6,800)
The ultimate boom-or-bust play, Vegas has missed five of his last six cuts. However, it helps to pay for a big-name player when he is this cheap.
