Top Streamer
Luke Weaver (STL vs ARI)
It is unlikely that Weaver will toss even five innings tonight, seeing that he is transitioning from the bullpen, but he should still pile up the strikeouts and is a decent bet to pick up the win. Perhaps most importantly, he won’t damage your week’s ratios.
Top DFS Cash Game Option
Jon Lester (CHC @ CHW)
Had Max Scherzer been available for the late slate, I would most certainly have used him here. The main slate only has five games and Lester is by far the best pitcher there. He also happens to be in a killer matchup against the White Sox Triple-A team, so don’t get cute and try to save money here.
Top DFS Tournament Option
Chris Flexen (SDP vs NYM)
The Padres’ rookie is making his debut tonight at home and has solid stuff. With that being said, he has also only pitched 48 Double-A innings and not a single pitch in Triple-A. While I don’t think he is polished enough to perform at a high level for the rest of the season, he without a doubt has the stuff where he could surprise some folks with an 8 K, 0 ER type of performance in San Diego against the Mets.
