Daily Pitcher Overview 7/28 (Start/Sit, Streamers, DFS)

Today, we have 15 games worth of pitchers to choose from but even with all of the options, there aren’t many start-worthy pitchers for season long leagues. With that being said, there are two decent streaming options and a stellar cash game play. I’ll tell you about those players along with all of my start/sit recommendations. Let’s take a look!

Top Streamer

Jaime Garcia (MIN @ OAK)

After the streaming options we have been spoiled with lately, it is disappointing to settle for Garcia here, but there is enough to like. Seeing that he gets a ballpark upgrade and goes against a lackluster lineup, our model projects that neither his ERA or WHIP will hurt your team tonight. Garcia also gives you a decent shot at picking up the victory tonight.

Top DFS Cash Game Option

Alex Wood (LAD  vs SFG)

Just look at the spread tonight. Minus -305. THREE OH FIVE!! Oh man! Not only does San Francisco have an abysmal lineup, but Wood has been downright filthy this season and is virtually a lock to get the win thanks in part to the run support expected against Matt Moore tonight. There are nights to fade the most expensive option in cash games and tonight is not one of them.

Top DFS Tournament Option

Danny Salazar (CLE @ CHW)

Perhaps you didn’t notice, but Salazar has been back to his former self, striking out the world and taking no prisoners. Tonight, he gets the White Sox’ second string and should, again, pile up the Ks. He will almost certainly be highly owned at just $8,200 on FanDuel, but sometimes you just have to ignore ownership and use the top option anyways.

Start/Sit Table

Guide

*All stats based on our daily projections
OWN – ownership % between ESPN and Yahoo!
Score – Based on an algorithm that weighs if their ratios are too high to offset the odds of them getting a win and add strikeouts to your team totals
Recommendation – For Roto and H2H season-long leagues
DFS Cash – Not based on value, but performance only. Heavily favors ratios and odds at getting the win and quality start
DFS GPP – Not based on value, but performance only. Built to focus more on strikeout potential and stamina
*The table is sorted by their season-long fantasy appeal
