FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Saturday (7/15)
We have a 13-game slate to ring in our first weekend back for MLB DFS. There are a ton of options all across the board, and Madison Bumgarner is set to make his return from the DL. As of now, there are no major weather concerns, and remember to check if players are confirmed in the starting lineup before first pitch.

Corey Kluber (CLE): $11,500 @ OAK
Kluber is one of the most consistent pithers this season, and he has a nice match up in front of him today. Kluber has put up eight or more strikeouts in eight straight starts, with six of those games being over 10 strikeouts. Elite level numbers from the Cleveland ace, and facing off against Oakland who has a 25.6% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching this season, Kluber is in a great spot tonight.
Willson Contreras (CHC) : $3,200 @ BAL
Catcher is normally a position where many DFS players decide to punt, and take a super cheap option, but Contreras is in a good spot, and worth spending up for. He has a 120 wRC+ and a .195 ISO this season vs left-handed pitching, and only a 16% strikeout rate. Great option in all formats tonight.
Ryan Zimmerman (WAS) : $3,300 @ CIN
Any time you get a chance to roster Zimmerman makes sense, and tonight is no different. This game is in Cincinnati, which is one of the best hitters parks in the league, and Zimmerman gives you exposure to one of the best offenses. Zimmerman has a 147 wRC+ and a .247 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. Great numbers for the All-Star, and he seems a bit under priced today.
Javier Baez (CHC): $2,500 @ BAL
The Cubs are going to be one of the chalk options today, so let’s try to fit some of them into the lineup. Baez is a cheaper options at second base, so the savings will be a nice help. He also comes into this game with a 104 wRC+ and a .273 ISO vs left-handed pitching. Surprising numbers for a player who has been a bit up and down this season, but a great option today vs the lefty.
Kris Bryant (CHC) : $3,700 @ PIT
Bryant is in an unbelievable spot tonight and is viable in all formats. He has a 176 wRC+ and a .333 ISO this season vs left-handed pitching. Big time numbers for the player at the hot corner, and he shouldn’t be passed up tonight. Bryant is a threat to go deep most nights, and in a favorable hitters park, tonight he should be able to send one deep.
Addison Russell (CHC) : $2,600 @ BAL
Russell is a nice way to round out the Cubs stack and some salary savings along with it. Russell has a 90 wRC+ and a .129 ISO. Now those numbers aren’t going to blow you away, but he is facing Wade Miley who is giving up a .373 wOBA to right-handed hitters. He also had a home run last night, so ride the hot streak.
Gregor Blanco (ARI) : $2,500 @ ATL
Blanco has a 114 wRC+ and a .157 ISO this season vs right-handed pitching. He will be at the new Braves stadium, which is a bit of a hitters park compared to their old one. Blanco is a cheap option who also gives you some exposure to the always powerful Diamondbacks offense.
Ben Gamel (SEA): $2,700 @ CWS
Gamel is a nice cheap option at outfield tonight, and he has a 124 wRC+ and a .384 OBP. Kluber is an expensive pitching option, so the savings are needed anywhere we can get them. Gamel has hits in three of his last four games and against a good DFS gas can, Mike Pelfrey.
Trey Mancini (BAL): $3,000 vs. CHC
Mancini comes into this game with a .407 wOBA and a .250 ISO, big time power numbers vs right-handed pitching this season. He is at home in a good hitters park, and he is a good option in all formats tonight.
- Mike Trout (LAA): $4,700 vs. TAM
- Ryan Braun (MIL): $4,200 vs. PHI
- Marwin Gonzalez (HOU): $3,500 vs. MIN
- Ian Happ (CHC): $3,300 @ BAL
