Daily Pitcher Overview 8/1 (Start/Sit, Streamers, DFS)

We have 15 games to work with tonight and loads of quality arms going including two surefire aces and a number of high upside strikeout arms. The streamer options are desolate, but I’ll still give you my top streamer along with my DFS plays and all start/sit recommendations.

Top Streamer

Parker Bridwell (LAA @ TOR)

The problem with there being so many solid pitchers on the slate is that none of them are available for streaming. Bridwell is our best option, and his ratios have been stellar over the past month, so he probably won’t kill you on that front. With that being said, the opposition and ballpark aren’t ideal and Bridwell isn’t going to strike many out. I’d prefer to avoid streaming today.

Top DFS Cash Game Option

Max Scherzer (WAS @ MIA)

The Nationals’ ace has been downright unbelievable this season with a 2.29 ERA and a pace for 330 strikeouts. Until his price climbs up to at least $13,000, I wouldn’t think twice about using him in every single cash game when he is pitching. The Marlins’ lineup is middle of the pack so he should still be good for double-digit Ks and a quality start.

Top DFS Tournament Option

Jose Berrios (MIN @ SD)

Here we are again, picking on the Padres at San Diego with a righty. This one, however, happens to have significant upside and a decent price tag. While Berrios hasn’t quite been lights out lately, he does have 65 point fantasy upside so let’s take the gamble.
