Fantasy Football Week 7 Flex Favorites

Fantasy Football Week 7 Flex Favorites

If you’re reading this, then you are probably hoping for some flex advice. The idea behind this article to make those tricky flex debates a little easier. A flex player is a player not in the top 60 players according to FantasyPros Flex Week 7 Rankings in half-point PPR leagues as of Wednesday.

I decided to go with the no players in the top 60 to target 12-team leagues that start two running backs and three wide receivers (5 players x 12 teams = 60 players). The players below will only be running backs or wide receivers since these are the two most common positions that fill the flex spot. If you don’t have any of the players below or are facing your own flex lineup decisions and need some help, then ask me on Twitter @mitchellrenz365.

Derrick Henry (RB – TEN) @ CLE
Henry was a stud last week against the Colts. Yes, most of his damage came on a 72-yard touchdown run but he also looked good prior to that run. This week he may be leaned on since DeMarco Murry is dealing with an injury. If the Titans lean on Henry against a weak Browns team this could be a huge game for the running back coming off of a 131-yard rushing day.

Robert Woods (WR- LAR) vs. ARI
Woods leads the Rams in receiving yards with 322 and only trails Todd Gurley in receptions on the team with 22. The Cardinals may be without Patrick Peterson and this would be a huge loss to a defense that has been struggling this year. Woods is looking for his first touchdown and will find it against a Cardinals defense who has given up nine touchdowns to wide receivers this season.

Dion Lewis (RB – NE) vs. ATL
The Patriots are back to their tricks at the running back position. Or are they? Mike Gillislee fumbled and then was basically benched for Dion Lewis who went on to lead the team in touches. His touches have increased now three weeks in a row. Lewis, when given the work, has looked solid this season averaging 5.0 YPC and in fantasy football, if I can find a running back who might get 10 plus touches on great offense that is something I am interested in.

Jamison Crowder (WR – WAS) @ PHI
Will this be the breakout game for Crowder? Yes, yes it will. The Eagles have given up the most receptions to wide receivers this season with 91, and the second most yards with 1,180. The Eagles right now are playing very well and I expect the Redskins to have to keep up with them. Crowder has been quiet this season but this will be the game he needs to get back on track. When he played the Eagles earlier this year he had a season-high seven targets. Hopefully, this time he gets more than 14 yards.

LeGarrette Blount (RB – PHI) vs. WAS
I had to make sure I didn’t bump my head with this name. I have been a Blount doubter but the dude has looked pretty good. In five of six weeks this season Blount has had at least 12 carries. In fact, his only game he didn’t have 12 carries he had one touch which was a reception for zero yards against the Chiefs. Since that game, Blount has been reliable. He is averaging 5.6 YPC and as I stated above, with the current running back pool being what it is he is a flex start or an RB2 now simply from the amount of touches he is getting weekly.

Marvin Jones, Chris Thompson, and John Brown were three of my best picks last week, and I will be look to continue to bringing you solid advice to help you flex your fantasy muscles.
