There are lot of great traditions that take place on Thanksgiving Day, but one of my favorites is kicking back and enjoying the football games. It’s always fun to toss a few FanDuel lineups into some GPP contests and see what happens on a short slate. This year we have another solid three-game slate with a lot of different directions we can go. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my Thanksgiving Day FanDuel Mini lineup.

Quarterback
Kirk Cousins (WAS): $14,000 vs. NYG
Kirk Cousins is finally putting it together for a total of six touchdowns and 649 yards over his past two games. This week he has another great matchup against the Giants who have allowed the third-most FanDuel points to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Running Back
Samaje Perine (WAS): $11,000 vs. NYG
With Robert Kelley and Chris Thompson out for the rest of the season, this is Samaje Perine’s backfield to lose. Perine had a solid performance this past weekend against the Saints with a total of 126 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries and one reception. The Giants are slightly better against the run than they are the pass, but they still are in the bottom third of defenses against the run. With the Redskins favored by 7.5 points in Vegas, Perine should get a ton of volume in this spot.
Melvin Gordon (LAC): $13,500 at DAL
I really liked Melvin Gordon entering last week, but I ultimately was scared off of him on Sunday when Adam Schefter reported that the Chargers were looking to decrease Gordon’s workload. This resulted in Gordon still receiving 20 touches and picking up 80 yards with a touchdown. There is no line out yet for this game, but I would like to think that the Chargers will be favored by a little bit considering how poorly the Cowboy’s offense has been playing lately. This should result in another decent workload for Gordon which in turn should produce a favorable stat line for your Turkey Day lineup.
Wide Receiver
Golden Tate (DET): $11,000 vs. MIN
Wide receiver will be the position that makes or breaks your lineup on Thanksgiving Day. I think a lot of people will spend up for either Adam Thielen or Keenan Allen, but Golden Tate is actually my favorite option considering his salary. Tate had a down game this past Sunday against the Bears, but the Bears do not get enough credit for their solid defensive unit. On the surface, this week’s matchup with the Vikings also appears to be a difficult one, but Tate should avoid the Viking’s top corner, Xavier Rhodes, since he rarely lines up in the slot.
Jamison Crowder (WAS): $9,500 vs. NYG
Perine might be the obvious beneficiary from the Thompson injury, but Jamison Crowder will also likely benefit quite a bit. Thompson was pretty active out of the backfield so those targets will have to go somewhere else. Crowder has seen his role expand quite a bit over his past three games with a total of 32 targets, 20 receptions, and 271 yards, and his upward trend should continue this week against the Giants, who have really struggled in their secondary recently.
