Players to Fade on FanDuel: Week 10

Players to Fade on FanDuel: Week 10

In this article, we will take a look at players who may be highly owned or overpriced and who you can feel comfortable fading. Let’s go ahead and take a look at some of the options to ignore for Week 10.

Quarterback

Drew Brees (NO): $8,500 at BUF
Drew Brees had a decent bounce-back game last Sunday throwing for 263 yards and two touchdowns. However, I will be fading him this week since historically he has not been the same quarterback on the road. Also, the Bills are pretty stingy against the pass this season, allowing the sixth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing quarterbacks.

Running Back

Todd Gurley (LAR): $9,600 vs. HOU
It’s really tough to justify fading any of the top dollar running back options this week. However, if I have to fade one at the top it will likely be Todd Gurley. I don’t believe Gurley is going to struggle much this week, but he has the highest salary at running back. I would much rather drop down to either Le’Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott or Leonard Fournette who are all in better matchups.

Alvin Kamara (NO): $7,000 at BUF
Alvin Kamara had a great game against the Buccaneers last Sunday with a total of 152 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries and six receptions. With that being said, I think recency bias will cause him to have an inflated ownership percentage in GPPs. I do not think he will have the same success this week since the Saints as a whole tend to play worse on the road.

Wide Receiver

Brandin Cooks (NE): $7,600 at DEN
I believe that Tom Brady will be able to succeed in this matchup this Sunday night, but I do not believe it will be with Brandin Cooks. The Broncos have a pair of really good cornerbacks in Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib. Both rank inside of the top 25 cornerbacks in the league according to Pro Football Focus, so I could really see Brady leaning heavily on Gronk this week.

Keenan Allen (LAC): $7,300 at JAC
Another wide receiver in a difficult matchup who I am looking to fade this week is Keenan Allen. Allen will be going up against arguably the best secondary in the league. According to Pro Football Focus, as the Jaguars have two of the top eight cornerbacks in the league with Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye.

Tight End

Jack Doyle (IND): $6,100 vs. PIT
Jack Doyle has been Jacoby Brissett‘s safety net in this Colt’s offense with at least six receptions and 44 receiving yards in each of their past four games. However, I’m not looking to use Doyle this week since he has the third-highest salary at tight end and the Steelers have allowed the fourth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing tight ends this season.
