In this article, we will take a look at players who may be highly owned or overpriced who you can feel comfortable fading. Let’s go ahead and take a look at some of the options to ignore for Week 12.

Quarterback
Drew Brees (NO): $7,900 at LAR
Drew Brees finally had the classic Brees game we were all waiting for this season, throwing for 385 yards and two touchdowns last Sunday against the Redskins. Unfortunately, I do not believe this will be a revival of the pass-happy Saints we are used to, but more of an outlier. The Saints should get right back to their 2017 run-heavy offense with the two-headed monster of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara considering the Rams have been pretty soft against the run and stout against the pass this season.
Running Back
LeSean McCoy (BUF): $8,300 at KC
Despite losing big to the Chargers last Sunday afternoon, LeSean McCoy had a big game. However, McCoy has struggled to meet expectations at this salary this season. Typically when the Bills are playing catch up, they abandon the run completely. This was even true to an extent last Sunday, but McCoy was fortunate enough to score on the Bills first possession before the game got out of hand and then again in garbage time on his only reception of the game. I think the Bills will have to play catch up once again against a much better Chiefs team, and I think it is extremely risky to expect the same outcome from last Sunday for McCoy.
Jordan Howard (CHI): $7,500 at PHI
Jordan Howard had a really solid game last Sunday against the Lions racking up 125 rushing yards on 15 attempts and scoring a touchdown. The problem with Howard is that he is not involved enough in the passing game. Similar to McCoy, if he does not do the damage while the Bears are still in the game he usually has a pretty disappointing game. I think that could definitely be the case this week when the Bears visit the Eagles, who currently have the best record in the NFL. On top of that, the Eagles have allowed the third-fewest FanDuel points to opposing running backs this season.
Wide Receiver
Larry Fitzgerald (ARI): $7,200 vs. JAC
Larry Fitzgerald played with his third different quarterback of the season last week, but it still did not affect his production accumulating 91 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions. This week very well could be a different story against the Jaguars, who have the number one ranked secondary in the NFL this season.
A.J. Green (CIN): $8,300 vs. CLE
It seems like I can never get A.J. Green right. I wrote him up last week and he ended up scoring a touchdown against a very good Broncos secondary. This week he has another extremely difficult individual matchup against Jason McCourty. McCourty is expected to shadow Green, and McCourty is currently the third-highest graded cornerback in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus.
Tight End
Rob Gronkowski (NE): $7,700 vs. MIA
One person I did nail in last week’s fade article was Rob Gronkowski. I’m going right back to the well this week, not because I think he will do poorly, but because there are a handful of cheaper options who I would rather use and save the salary for another position.
