Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson (SEA): $9,000 @ DAL (+$600)
Wilson scored just 11.6 FDP in Week 15 against the Rams, yet his salary went up by $600. The matchup looming in week 16 against the Cowboys is a mixed bag, as their four-week average (271 passing yards and two touchdowns per game) is still skewed by the thrashing Philip Rivers and the Chargers laid down on Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys have tightened things up a bit since then and, given the current state of the Seahawks’ offensive line, I don’t know that I would be buying high this week.

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF): $7,000 vs. JAX (-$300)
Garoppolo is now 3-0 as a starter for the 49ers, but he could be in line for regression this week in a tough home matchup against the Jaguars. Jacksonville has allowed an average of just 204 passing yards and 1.8 touchdowns per game over the last four weeks, which includes 271 yards and three scores in Week 14. Despite the salary drop, I don’t think I’m too interested in Garoppolo this week due to the difficult opponent.

Running Backs

Ezekiel Elliott (DAL): $8,300 vs. SEA (+$2,300)
OK, so I’m cheating here a bit as Elliott is coming off of suspension and thus an artificially depressed price. What I find interesting, however, is that he wasn’t priced a bit higher.

There are six running backs priced above Elliott this season, who looks to have lost a little bit of weight while training during his six-week suspension. Todd Gurley destroyed the Seahawks in Week 15, and I would fully expect the Cowboys to lean heavily on Elliott as they try to stay in the playoff chase.

Alvin Kamara (NO): $8,500 vs. ATL (-$600)
Kamara gets another shot at the Falcons after having his outing cut short against them in Week 14. While this is a tough matchup on paper, there’s nothing wrong with taking advantage of a drop in his salary in tournament play. The rookie has scored in seven out of his last eight games, and he should be considered a high upside play in Week 16 as a result.

Wide Receivers

Keelan Cole (JAC): $5,300 @ SF (+$800)/Jaydon Mickens (JAC): $5,200 @ SF (+$700)
Both receivers exploded in Week 15 as they, not Dede Westbrook, took advantage of a plus matchup at home against the Texans. Cole will likely remain as a decent tournament option next week, but Mickens could see a decreased role if Marqise Lee returns in Week 16. Still, owners will likely chase this performance so I wouldn’t get too crazy with exposure here this week.

Robby Anderson (NYJ): $7,200 vs. LAC (-$600)
Anderson saw 12 targets in Week 15 with Bryce Petty under center, but he hauled in just five of those for 40 yards against the Saints. A tough matchup awaits in Week 16 against the Chargers, which likely helped to cut his stock. He’s still a bit pricey, but the volume coupled with a falling price does make him worthy of GPP consideration this week.

Tight Ends

Greg Olsen (CAR): $6,600 vs. TB (+$1,000)
Olsen finally broke out after returning from injury a few weeks ago, as the veteran hauled in nine of 12 targets for 116 yards and a score against the Packers. His price jumped heading into Week 16, but it’s probably right at where it needs to be, so I don’t mind going back to the well again this week.

Travis Kelce (KC): $7,000 vs. MIA (-$700)
The ever-volatile Kelce saw his price drop the most among all tight ends this week, as he scored just 7.6 FDP against the Chargers. There’s nothing special about the matchup awaiting in Week 16 against the Dolphins, but I think Kelce’s price has dropped to the point that you can consider him as a high-upside tournament play.
