NFL DFS Stacking Options for Week 16

NFL DFS Stacking Options for Week 16

This will be my last NFL DFS Stacking article for the season. I hope you have enjoyed it and it has helped you bring home the bacon so you could spoil your family (or yourself) this holiday season. This week’s column features stacks for every slate with a Saturday Stack, Sunday (Christmas Eve) Stack and a Monday (Christmas Day) Stack. I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season!

These are my top stacks for the week so fire up a GPP lineup or two and plug them in along with your other favorite plays.

Note: All salaries are from FanDuel but stacks can be considered for any DFS site.

So, with that let’s stack’em up for Week 16.

Saturday Stack

QB Case Keenum (MIN):$7,900 / WR Adam Thielen (MIN): $8,100 / TE Kyle Rudolph (MIN): $6,700
Saturday gives us a little appetizer with a two-game NFL slate, but the Vikings’ passing game should feast on the Packers’ secondary in the nightcap. The Packers have the 26th ranked pass defense according to Football Outsiders DVOA rankings and have allowed a whopping 2.8 touchdown passes per game over the last five weeks.

There is plenty to go around to all of the Vikings’ receiving options (you get a touchdown, you get a touchdown, everybody gets a touchdown). Kyle Rudolph has scored in four straight games while the Packers have allowed four touchdowns to opposing TEs over the last five weeks. And how can you not roster a player named Rudolph at Christmas. Adam Thielen put up nine grabs for 96 yards in the first meeting with the Packers.

Bring it back with: Randall Cobb (GB): $6,100

Sunday (Christmas Eve) Stacks

QB Russell Wilson (SEA): $9,000 / WR Doug Baldwin (SEA): $7,300 / TE Jimmy Graham (SEA): $6,800
Russell Wilson and the Seahawks’ offense was a disaster last week. This could drop their ownership a little bit this week despite the great matchup in a must-win for both teams. Look for Wilson to get back to finding his most reliable targets with Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham having big bounce-back games against a Cowboys’ defense that has trouble defending the slot giving up big games to slot receivers such as Jamison Crowder and Keenan Allen this season and the TE where they rank 24th DVOA against the position. This is a great game to deploy a full-game stack on both sides of the ball, so bring it back with both Ezekiel Elliott and Dez Bryant.

Bring it back with: Ezekiel Elliott (DAL): $8,300 / Dez Bryant (DAL): $7,100

QB Drew Brees (NO): $8,400 / WR Michael Thomas (NO): $8,200
The other matchup on Christmas Eve that features two teams fighting for the playoffs that could turn into a shootout is in New Orleans where the Saints meet the Falcons. The Saints have been propelled by the run more than the pass this season but the Falcons did well against the Saints running game two weeks ago and will likely focus their attention there again this week, which will free up Drew Brees and the passing game for a big day.

Brees has had a ton of success against the Falcons in his career averaging over 300 passing yards and just under two touchdowns per game in 24 career starts while posting 271 yards and two scores in the earlier meeting on the road this season. Pair him with his top WR Michael Thomas who has 19 receptions for 210 yards and two touchdowns over the last two weeks including 10-117-1 against the Falcons two weeks ago.

Bring it back with:  Mohammad Sanu (ATL): $5,900

RB Kareem Hunt (KC): $8,300 / DEF Kansas City Chief: $4,500
We need to find some RB/DEF combo to include this week and the Chiefs pairing of Kareem Hunt with their opportunistic defense seems like they are in the right spot to succeed playing at home as a big favorite against the Dolphins. After a mid-season swoon for Hunt when he wasn’t getting the ball enough, he has re-emerged with at least 28 touches in each of the last two games. He should get the rock plenty again this week as the Chief should have a positive game script working with the lead against a Dolphins run defense that has allowed 4.25 YPC (24th) to opposing RBs this season. The Chiefs defense is all about the big play and could get some chances against the turnover-prone Jay Cutler.

Monday (Christmas Day) Stack

QB Ben Roethlisberger (PIT): $8,300 / RB Le’Veon Bell (PIT): $9,300 / WR Juju Smith-Schuster (PIT): $7,000
The Christmas Day stack is likely one that will be very common but just because it is the obvious option doesn’t mean it can’t still help you take down a GPP. The Steelers are without Antonio Brown which will put a lot of additional targets and touches on the rest of the offense. Le’Veon Bell may get the ball 40 times and when Ben Roethlisberger throws he will likely be looking Juju Smith-Schuster‘s way frequently. The Texans allowed 45 points to the Jaguars last week and another 40-plus point total wouldn’t be a surprise for the Steelers’ offense even without Brown. Hopkins, as always, is the perfect bring it back option as he gets a huge target share in the Texans’ offense. Hopefully, this stack will bring one last Christmas present to your DFS bankroll.

Bring it back with: DeAndre Hopkins (HOU): $8,100
