Welcome again to the Friday edition of my FanDuel values column. Every Friday here at FantasyPros, I will give you my top plays under $5,500. Let’s take a look at today’s 11-game slate.
Milos Teodosic (LAC) $3,600 @ PHO
Avery Bradley is expected to miss another game, meaning Teodosic will likely see another bump in minutes. Last night, with Bradley out of the lineup, Teodosic put up 18.2 FanDuel points in 27 minutes. It’s also interesting to note that he was in the game for much of the fourth quarter in a close game against the Warriors last night, meaning he has the trust of head coach Doc Rivers down the stretch. The Suns have given up 48.32 FanDuel points over the last four weeks to the position — and that’s considered an improvement!
Andrew Harrison (MEM) $5,500 vs CLE
Harrison’s price tag may soon be too steep to roster, but I think any time you are a starting point guard playing 30-plus minutes and your matchup is the Cavs, you are worth a look. The Cavs are the second-worst team against the point over the last four weeks, giving up 52.83 FanDuel points over that span.
Tyrone Wallace (LAC) $3,500 @ PHO
Wallace was supposed to draw the start last night with Avery Bradley on the shelf, but a car accident earlier in the day kept that from happening. As long as Bradley is out today, I’d expect Wallace to get the start. Despite not starting, he turned in 22.1 FanDuel points last night in 19 minutes, and his matchup is much better tonight against a Suns team that is dead last in defending the shooting guard over the last four weeks.
Rudy Gay (SAS) $4,300 @ DEN
I’m sure everyone has heard the rumors that Kawahi Leonard will likely miss the rest of the season, opening the door for Gay to play big minutes. He is set to return from an injury himself tonight, and there is no word yet of a minutes restriction. The Nuggets are the second-worst team against the small forward spot over the last four weeks, giving up 45.19 FanDuel points over that span. This will also be a pace-up game for the Spurs, which will benefit Gay’s production.
Taj Gibson (MIN) $5,400 @ HOU
I should just copy/paste Gibson here every week and just change his matchup. Gibson doesn’t have a very high ceiling but has one of the higher floors for a guy priced under $6,000. This will be a fast-paced game with a lot of shots put up, Gibson could easily get him himself a double-double tonight and is the safest “value” on tonight’s slate.
Alex Len (PHO) $4,500 vs LAC
Tyson Chandler has been all but ruled out for this game, meaning Len should see a bump in minutes. The matchup with the Clippers is a good one as they give up 64.30 FanDuel points to opposing centers over the last four weeks, the second-worst mark in the league over that span.
