FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Tuesday (2/13)

FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Tuesday (2/13)

We have a massive 12-game slate tonight, and there are fantastic stacking options all across the board. There are plenty of teams on the slate you want to stack against and plenty of teams you can avoid. With so many teams on the slate, there’s no real need to worry about ownership, so you can go ahead with the chalky options.

Center

Pierre-Luc Dubois (CLS): $5,600 @ NYI
Dubois is on the first forward line which is where this Columbus stack will be focused. He is also on the second power-play unit, so there will be plenty of ice time for him to score points. He is up against the Islanders, who are giving up well over three goals per game and have given up the most goals in the league this season. They are the ideal team to attack, and if this game is in for a shootout, there should be plenty of ice time for Dubois, who has goals in two straight games and is taking over two shots per game.

Logan Couture (SJ): $7,000 vs. ARI
Couture is the first part of a Sharks stack we are looking at tonight. They are up against the Coyotes, who are on the second night of a back-to-back, along with giving up over three goals per game. This puts the Sharks in a prime spot, so you want to capitalize on it. He has 43 points in 52 games this season and is taking about three shots per game. He is also on the first power-play unit.

Wing

Artemi Panarin (CLS): $6,900 @ NYI
Panarin has 45 points in 55 games this season and is also on the first forward line for the Blue Jackets. He has three points in his last two games and is taking about three shots per game. Panarin and the Blue Jackets are in a great spot since they are up against the Islanders who are very weak defensively. There’s multi-point upside with this stack since this game has an over-under set at six.

Cam Atkinson (CLS): $5,900 @ NYI
Atkinson has been a bit up and down this season and has only 18 points in 39 games. He is still taking three shots per game, so he is due for a bit of positive regression, which comes at a great time since he is up against the Islanders. He is the riskiest part of this stack, but up against this weak opponent, he is in a good spot.

Tomas Hertl (SJ): $5,200 vs. ARI
Hertl has points in two straight games and isn’t too expensive, but is still playing on this top forward line. He offers great exposure against one of the worst teams in the league and is also seeing time on the top power-play unit. He takes over two shots per game and is blocking about one shot per game.

Kevin Labanc (SJ): $4,100 vs. ARI
Labanc is the last forward on the Sharks stack, which makes up the first forward line and the first power-play unit. He is the cheapest member of this stack since he is the most inconsistent, but the matchup is so favorable, he cannot be passed on. Labanc is taking two shots per game and is in a nice spot to find the back of the net against this weak Arizona team.

Defense

Vince Dunn (STL): $3,700 @ NSH
Dunn has been a popular pick in NHL DFS for a bit now, as he is playing on the top power-play unit for the Blues. He is cheap and gets you some nice exposure to Tarasenko and the always dangerous power-play. He is taking a bit under two shots per game and can chip in with a blocked shot every now and then.

Brent Burns (SJ): $7,500 vs. ARI
What else can you say about Brent Burns? He is always one of the most expensive defenders on the slate and simply does it all. He is taking over four shots per game, blocking over one shot, on the first power-play, and sees about 25 minutes of ice time per game. He makes a fantastic cash game option anytime he is in play. The power-play has serious multi-goal upside tonight against this Arizona team, and he will be in the middle of all the action.

Goalie

Carter Hutton (STL): $8,900 @ NSH
Hutton is likely to get the start tonight and has five wins in his last six starts. With a full slate, you shouldn’t be worried about ownership. In those recent five wins, he has only given up three goals and has two shutouts. Great numbers from him, and a bit of a hot hand, so let’s ride that to the cash.
