FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Tuesday (2/20)

FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Tuesday (2/20)

We have a nine-game slate tonight, and some of the best offenses in the league are in action. This means big-name skaters who are expensive, so you will need to find some value out there in order to fit them in your lineup.

Center

Mark Scheifele (WPG): $8,000 vs. LA
Scheifele is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit for the Jets, who are very dangerous at home. He has eight points in his last four games and is taking about two shots per game. This first forward line stack is very expensive but has massive multi-point upside against the Kings, who are on the second night of a back-to-back.

Tyler Bozak (TOR): $4,800 vs. FLA
Bozak is the first part of a Maple Leafs’ stack we are looking at tonight. He is on the third forward line and the second power-play unit and is up against the Panthers, who are giving up over three goals per game. He has three points in his last two games and is taking a bit under two shots per game.

Wing

Kyle Connor (WPG): $5,700 vs. LA
Connor has three goals in his last two games and is also on the first forward line. He is taking a bit under three shots per game, can chip in with a blocked shot every now and then, and is also on the first power-play line. I really like the spot for the Jets tonight since they are -175 favorites at home. They are likely to put up goals and come away with the win. He might be a rookie but is having a very strong year and is a great addition to this stack.

Blake Wheeler (WPG): $7,800 vs. LA
Wheeler is one of the big names on this stack and can back it up with his production. He has nine points in his last six games and is one of the more consistent options when it comes to NHL DFS. He is taking over three shots per game and blocking just under one shot per game. He can really add value in multiple categories, which is exactly what you want from a player, along with great multi-point upside.

James Van Riemsdyk (TOR): $6,800 vs. FLA
JVR is the next member of this Toronto stack. He has four goals in his last six games, is taking about three shots per game, and also is on the second power-play unit. He has 37 points in 60 games this season.

Evgenii Dadonov (FLA): $5,400 @ TOR
Dadonov makes a nice one-off in this lineups since he can create his own offense and doesn’t need to be in a stack in order to reach value. He is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, so there will be plenty of ice time against the Maple Leafs, who have been giving up plenty of goals lately. Dadonov has six points in his last four games and is taking a bit over two shots per game.

Defense

Tyler Myers (WPG): $5,000 vs. LA
Myers is the last member of this Jets stack and is on a bit of a hot streak. He has six points over his last three games, and his price has barely changed. $5,000 is simply too cheap for this level of production, so we want to jump on him before his prices increases. Myers is taking just over one shot per game, blocking over one shot per game, and is on the second power-play unit.

Travis Dermott (TOR): $3,800 vs. FLA
Dermott is a bit of a punt play and is a bit riskier. He has only played in 18 games this season since being called up from the AHL and has eight points in that span. He is cheap, taking over one shot per game, blocking over one shot per game, and sees just shy of 20 minutes per game. Not the most exciting pick, but he fits nicely into the lineup.

Goalie

Keith Kinkaid (NJ): $7,700 vs. CLS
Kinkaid is likely to get the start tonight and is coming off three straight wins. He isn’t too expensive and is in a good spot to pick up the win since he is up against the Blue Jackets, who are in the bottom five of the league for goals per game. He has also seen 35 or more shots in two of his last three games, so there should be plenty of chances to rack up some points and ultimately come away with the much-needed win.
