FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Tuesday (3/20)

We have an 11-game slate tonight and there are fantastic options all across the board. With this many teams going, we should be looking at one of the higher-scoring nights in recent weeks. As always, be sure to check your sources on Twitter for any last-minute injury news.

Center

Paul Stastny (WPG): $6,000 vs. LA
Stastny is the first part of a Jets stack we are looking at tonight, which has some nice upside given how well they are playing. He has a seven-game point streak going right now and should be able to continue since he is up against the Kings who are on the second night of a back to back. This means the Kings should in all likelihood be down to their backup goalie, which should prove to benefit the Jets, who are scoring 3.3 goals per game over the past month. He is on the second forward line and the first power-play.

Brayden Point (TB): $6,300 vs. TOR
Point is on the second forward line and the second power-play in a game which should see plenty of scoring. We have two of the best offensive teams in the league going head to head, so a bit of a game stack could also be viable here. Point only has one point in his last five games but is now up against the Maple Leafs, who are giving up three goals per game over the past month.

Wing

Patrik Laine (WPG): $8,400 vs. LA
Laine is tied for the most goals in the league right now, and if you have the salary for him, you shouldn’t pass. He has goals in seven of his last nine games, with four of those being multi-goal games. That is exactly the level of production you want from a player at his price point. He is also on the second forward line, and the first power-play, so the double dipping on points here is big.

Nikolaj Ehlers (WPG): $6,200 vs. LA
Ehlers has points in three of his last four games, and with the Jets offense this hot, you want any exposure you can get to them. He is also on the second forward line but the second power-play, so some diversified exposure to the majority of the Jets offense. He is taking about three shots per game, so nice consistency across the board.

Yanni Gourde (TB): $5,400 vs. TOR
Gourde is also on this Tampa second forward line, along with the second power-play unit, so the correlation is there for them to really rack up the points. Gourde takes a bit under two shots per game, and with this set to be a fast-paced, high-scoring game, he has the potential to fall into some points.

Alex Killorn (TB): $4,800 vs. TOR
Killorn is on the second forward line but the first power-play, so he gets you some nice exposure to both Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov, but you don’t have to pay up for their prices. He is on the cheaper side, so his overall production is in line with that, but the full stack and correlation he has with the line shouldn’t be understated.

Defense

Dustin Byfuglien (WPG): $6,000 vs. LA
Byfuglien plays about 25 minutes per game, and may not be the most offensively gifted player in the league, but he has different ways of reaching value. He is on the top defensive pairing and the first power-play unit, so the correlation is there for this stack. He is taking about two shots per game, and blocking over one shot per game.

Mikhail Sergachev (TB): $4,200 vs. TOR
Sergachev is also on this second power-play stack, meaning they have plenty of shared ice team, which can really lead to big-time points. He takes a bit under two shots per game and is blocking almost one shot per game.

Goalie

Petr Mrazek (PHI): $7,700 @ DET
Mrazek is up against his former team tonight, so if you fancy a bit of a revenge narrative, then this is the spot for you. The Flyers are -145 road favorites as they are up against the Red Wings, who have lost 10 games in a row. The Red Wings are one of the weakest teams in the league and have been shutout twice in their last seven games. He is cheap, and is likely to come away with the win without giving up many goals.
