FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Tuesday (3/27)

We have a nine-game slate, and we are winding down to the end of the season, meaning the playoff race is coming to a close. There are plenty of teams in spots where they are looking to pick up points, so we want to focus in on those, and avoid some of the teams who are out of contention.

Pierre-Luc Dubois (CLS): $5,300 @ EDM
Dubois is the first part of Blue Jackets stack we are looking at, which is focused in on the first forward line. They are up against the Oilers, who are giving up over three goals per game and are one of the weaker teams in the league. It’s a great spot for them to grab a much-needed win, since they are in the Eastern Conference playoff hunt. He has two points in his last two games and is also on the second power-play unit.

Ryan Kesler (ANH): $4,900 @ VAN
Kesler is up against his former team tonight in the Canucks, so if you like a good revenge narrative, this is the spot for you. This stack is on the cheaper side, so you are buying in for their upside, which should be there since they are facing a team who is giving up over three goals per game. He is taking over one shot per game, along with blocking about a shot per game, so there are a few different ways for him to score points.

Artemi Panarin (CLS): $7,500 @ EDM
Panarin has 16 points in his last 11 games and is the driving force behind this Columbus offense. He has multi-point upside nearly every time he is on the ice. Now being up against the Oilers, he should be able to reach that level. Also on the first forward line, along with the first power-play unit, he should present plenty of upside in this matchup.

Cam Atkinson (CLS): $6,600 @EDM
Atkinson has a four-game point streak going and has taken 19 shots over that span, so he’s putting up points in every game. Nice ice time correlation between him and Panarin, meaning the potential for double-dipping on points is big. No reason to fade a player on a hot streak who is up against a weak defensive team, so load him up.

Jakob Silfverberg (ANH): $5,600 @ VAN
Silfverberg doesn’t have any points in his last three games, but this is a spot for you to buy low on him now that he has a great matchup. The Ducks have an expected Corsi for of 44 tonight, meaning they should be taking a good amount of shots, which should lead to scoring chances against this weak defense.

Travis Konecny (PHI): $5,900 @ DAL
Konecny is up against the Stars who are seriously struggling right now, as they have lost eight games in a row. This puts the Flyers in a good spot to grab a win against a struggling team, meaning they should be scoring some goals. Speaking of goals, Konecny has three goals in his last three games and has taken 11 shots over that span. He is on the first forward line and the second power-play unit, so there should be plenty of chances to score points.

Seth Jones (CLS): $6,100 @ EDM
Jones is listed as day-to-day, but reports state he is fully expected to play. He is nursing a rib injury, so it seems to be more of just a maintenance issue for him at this point. He will be back on the first defensive pairing and first power-play unit, giving him great correlation between the players on this Blue Jackets stack. Jones is one of the better cash games options on most slates, and tonight should be no different given the matchup.

Hampus Lindholm (ANH): $4,600 @ VAN
Lindholm has a four-game point streak going and seems a bit too cheap for the production he is having, along with this super favorable matchup. He is seeing time on the second defensive pairing and the second power-play unit, so some nice offensive upside for him tonight. Lindholm is taking over two shots per game, along with blocking over one shot per game.

Matt Murray (PIT): $8,300 @ DET
Murray and the Penguins are -210 favorites on the road at Detroit, putting them in a good spot to come away with the win. The Penguins offense can always put up goals, meaning you should be rostering their goalies to get wins. Murray is coming off a big 41-save win against the Flyers the other night, but he did give up four goals. I’m not expecting him to give up that many tonight.
