FanDuel NHL Value Plays: Tuesday (3/13)

FanDuel NHL Value Plays: Tuesday (3/13)

With an unusually smaller slate this Tuesday night, there are just seven games scheduled in the NHL. There are a few games expected to see a lot of offense with high game totals. Stacking these games, while getting exposure to the high-priced studs, will be extremely important. Let’s take a look at some salary saving options on FanDuel tonight.

Center

Bryan Little (WPG): $4,800 @ NSH
The Winnipeg Jets are traveling to Nashville to take on the Predators. This is a potential future playoff matchup with two of the top teams in the west facing off. The injury to Mark Scheifele has opened playing time on the top forward line for Bryan Little. The last time these two teams played each other, there were 11 goals scored and much of the same should be expected. Little has struggled to find consistency in scoring this year, but the opportunity and matchup are tough to pass up at less than $5,000.

Wing

Kyle Connor (WPG): $4,400 @ NSH
The second piece to a Jets stack is left-winger Kyle Connor. The two correlate both on the top forward line and second power-play unit. Although an unlikely Calder Trophy candidate, the rookie has played exceptionally well for Winnipeg. With 11 points in his last 11 games, Connor now has 41 points in 63 games this season. The Jets will be tested after playing in Washington last night. With a lot to play for, expect a high-scoring game in Nashville tonight.

Kevin Fiala (NSH): $4,800 vs. WPG
Sticking with the same game, the second line for the Predators is an inexpensive option with upside. The Jets are dealing with numerous injuries and, as mentioned, are playing on the back end of a back-to-back. The top six forwards for the Predators are in a position to score multiple goals. Kevin Fiala will skate on the second line with Craig Smith and Kyle Turris. The trio has found chemistry all season long and has been a great source for secondary scoring.

Defense

Ryan McDonagh (TB): $4,900 vs. OTT
Since being traded, the former Rangers captain has played just one game with his new squad. In 19 minutes, McDonagh recorded one shot and two blocked shots. These numbers are not overwhelming by any means, but his role will increase significantly moving forward. Thus, his price will only increase from here on out. Tonight, the Lightning have a great matchup against a soft Senators team. Ranked in the bottom five for both CF% and GA, Ottawa has had a disappointing season. After playing last night, the Lighting should have no issue scoring tonight.

Goalie

Jack Campbell (LA): $7,300 @ ARI
It is not always reassuring to start a goalie on the road, especially a goalie with just one NHL game under his belt this season. However, the Kings are a great defensive team and will play a very poor offensive team in the Coyotes. On the year, Arizona is ranked 30th in GF (Goals For). This should be an extremely boring, low-scoring game. Campbell is not the heaviest favorite on the board tonight, but at that price on FanDuel, just getting the win will pay off value.
