With sparse quality pitching options on Wednesday night’s 10-game MLB slate, you will need to bargain hunt for hitters. Fortunately, there appear to be enough value bats available to still make a solid DFS lineup while paying up for two pitchers. When hunting for value hitters also be sure to keep a close eye on starting lineups when they are announced to see if any other value hitters are batting near the top of the lineup.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. Jacob deGrom (NYM): $13,200 vs. MIA
It is going to very difficult to fade Jacob deGrom on Wednesday’s slate. While he is by far the highest priced pitcher on the slate, he costs a lot for good reason. He is coming off a dominant outing against the Diamondbacks where he registered 13 strikeouts while allowing just one run over seven innings on his way to 40.2 DK points. He will be pitching at home where he has consistently posted a lower ERA and wOBA each season of his career and will be a big Vegas favorite over the Marlins. The Marlins have the eight highest strikeout rate (24.1%) against righties with the second lowest wOBA (.279) and third lowest wRC+ (76). Just pay up for the ace of the night and move on in Cash games.
