Saturday night bring us a solid 11-game MLB slate. Is it just me or does it seem like the weather is playing a bigger factor in this early MLB season than other years? Continue to keep an eye on the sky Saturday night with numerous games potentially affected by rain, including one that was postponed on Friday in Washington D.C. that has pushed the top pitcher in the league to be the top play Saturday night assuming the weather cooperates.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. Pitcher
Max Scherzer (WAS): $11,600 vs. LAD
It is just a copy and paste of my write-up from Friday night except for the pivot if the game is postponed. If the weather cooperates in Washington then Max Scherzer is the clear-cut top pitching option of the night. He has been absolutely dominant this season with a 1.69 ERA while reaching double-digit strikeouts in six out of nine starts. He is a huge Vegas favorite pitching at home against a Dodgers team that has lost nine of their last 11 games. In 114 career plate appearances by Dodgers hitters against Scherzer, he has allowed only one home run with a .235 wOBA and 33.3% strikeout rate. If the raindrops do not hold off then look to pivot to Patrick Corbin or Sean Newcomb in Cash games.
