While playing MLB DFS, some days you feel like the bat, hammering the ball over the fence and getting flipped in the air to celebrate. Other days you feel like the ball, getting whacked and thrown around. Friday night, I felt like the ball as I stepped on the landmine that was Steven Wright in numerous lineups. So, on Saturday night’s four-game slate, I’m looking for redemption and to be the bat flipping in the air in celebration.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. Pitcher
Lance McCullers (HOU): $9,200 vs. KC
The Saturday night slate includes a couple of pitchers returning from the DL in Clayton Kershaw and Marcus Stroman. It also includes ace Jacob deGrom. However, due to salary and uncertainty, I’m likely avoiding all three of them in cash games. Instead, I’ll look to roster McCullers who has been pretty steady this season including 10 quality starts in his last 12 outings. McCullers also has extreme home/road splits with an ERA over 2.5 runs lower at home during his career. He’ll be at home as a huge Vegas favorite on Saturday and offers some salary savings from DeGrom or Kershaw.
