Monday features a comfortable nine-game MLB slate that doesn’t have any “must-have” pitchers or teams playing in extreme hitter parks. The nine games also fit right into the sweet spot, in my opinion, to allow time for sufficient depth in researching all of the options on the slate, yet still allowing a wide variety of ways to construct your lineup. Working your way through Monday’s article it should be clear which teams I am high on if you want to stack or roster some pivots at any positions.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. Pitcher
Robbie Ray (ARI): $8,300 vs. TEX
Ray has had his share of ups and downs this season, but he offers a lot of upside due to his 30.8% strikeout rate this season and could have some positive regression coming his way with a SIERA (3.63) over a run lower than his current 4.90 ERA. Ray is coming off a strong outing against the Cubs where he allowed just one run over seven innings with six strikeouts. He’ll get a home matchup as a big Vegas favorite against the Rangers on Monday. He isn’t a lock for a big night but he has just as much potential as any other pitcher on the slate and comes with a cheaper salary.
