There are 14 games of MLB action on a Tuesday night DraftKings slate as players try to reach milestones and teams try to lock down playoff spots in the final week of the season. While I don’t have any players from the game at Coors Field on my core list be sure to keep an eye on the starting lineups to see if any decent value emerges to open up hitters from that game. You have to stay flexible in the waning days of the regular season when playing DFS.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. Max Scherzer (WAS): $12,800 vs. MIA
One player that is chasing a milestone on Tuesday is Scherzer who is just 10 strikeouts shy of reaching the 300 mark for the season in what will likely be his last start of the season. He’ll face the Marlins who have the eighth-highest strikeout rate (24.4%) against righties over the last month, while Scherzer has recorded a modest 25.5% strikeout rate against Marlins hitters over 149 career plate appearances. He should have a little extra motivation with the potential for a historic night which makes me want to force him into my lineup no matter the cost.
