Dynasty IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 5 (Fantasy Football)

Dynasty IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 5 (Fantasy Football)

John Orr discusses weekly dynasty IDP waiver pickups during each week of the NFL season.

I’m going to give you a few adds each week for you to think about and consider. I play in deep dynasty IDP leagues so my recommendations will be based on that. You won’t get the big name adds from me because they are probably owned already. Let’s get ready for Week 5!

Defensive line

Kemoko Turay (IND)
This is a player who fits the defensive scheme perfectly. He plays with a relentless motor and shows a will to win every snap. In case you couldn’t tell, I love watching him play. Week after week you will continue to watch him grow. Gran him as a weekly starter and long-term hold in all formats.

Linebackers

Jayon Brown (TEN)
The opportunity was knocking on his door with Woodyard injuring his arm and he stood up and delivered. Logging 77 snaps he produced 10 tackles and a sack! With his ownership percent so low you should have a shot at him this week. I like him to keep the scoring torch going this week as long as Woodyard remains out.

Rashaan Evans (TEN)
Yes! Another Titian. Perhaps he benefited the most work Woodyards injury. He logged 60 snaps! I really loved what I saw and would like to grab him and hold him long term in my dynasty leagues.

Safety

Tre Boston (ARI)
Taking on the majority of snaps from strong safety he put up 11 tackles last week. With San Francisco up next you very well could get a repeat performance. If you’re in need of safety help this week make him your high priority add.

Justin Reid (HOU)
He has been mentioned by me often this year for his ability to get points. Averaging 4 tackles a week your getting points! His role will grow and I like him to take a jump up against Dallas this week. Now, he is playing under half of the defensive snaps and is making a positive contribution. Imagine if the snap counts start to grow and you’re cashing in on some double-digit point totals. It will happen!

Jessie Bates (CIN)
It’s been on and off fantasy rosters this season. I find him once again available in a majority of leaves waiting for you to scoop him and start him. Over the last two weeks, he has made 8 tackles weekly and will continue to do so. Trust this kid and strengthen your team’s depth.

Corner

Rashaan Melvin (OAK)
This guy has a knack for knocking down passes (7 on the year ). Last week he showed how well he can tackle with 11. Next team up is the high flying San Diego Chargers. It’s a plus matchup and I want in on it.

Get after it and good luck this week!
