Dynasty IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 7 (Fantasy Football)

Dynasty IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 7 (Fantasy Football)

John Orr discusses weekly dynasty IDP waiver pickups during each week of the NFL season.

I’m going to give you a few adds each week for you to think about and consider. I play in deep dynasty IDP leagues so my recommendations will be based on that. You won’t get the big name adds from me because they are probably owned already. Let’s get ready for Week 7!

Defensive Line

Trent Murphy (BUF)
First of all, I don’t think he has a serious injury and expect him to play this week. I have mentioned his teammate previously, Jerry Hughes, but he has been steady and I am in love with him this week. The Buffalo Bills front will get after it this week and he will win a few one on ones to make plays. This is an excellent week to toss him into a lineup if needed

Defensive Tackle

Kyle Williams (BUF)
His numbers have not been blowing up the stat column but this week he will go against the Indianapolis Colts. The Bills defense has played well and should stay on the field. My gut loves this matchup and I can get excited to watch the interior lines battle in this game. In my DT premium leagues, I have submitted claims for him and will start him where I need bye week coverage.

Linebackers

Za’Darius Smith (BAL)
I was pleasantly surprised as I toured my leagues for waiver claims to see him available. He looks like he is back after that three-sack performance against Tennessee. I like him in big play formats and can see another sack coming with his pass rush chops.

Barkevious Mingo (SEA)
He is on a bye week! Seattle is very happy with him and with that trust, his playing time has been a nice surprise. I would grab him if you have the bench space this week and hold him in your dynasty leagues. His weekly stats are adding up into top performer numbers.

Safety

Jeff Heath (DAL)
If you’re in need you should find him on your league’s waivers. This is a decent option this week as he does make a couple tackles a game and will be busy against the Redskins weapons. A spot starter for you.

Cornerback

Patrick Peterson (ARI)
The trade talk has scared some of us fantasy owners. Go add him and feel free to be happy about it. This week he is going against the Denver Broncos and will be a key contributor for his defense and our lineups. In my leagues where we start more than two corners, I am lucky enough to have him going as my third corner.

Get after it and good luck this week!
