Dynasty IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 8 (Fantasy Football)

Dynasty IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 8 (Fantasy Football)

John Orr discusses weekly dynasty IDP waiver pickups during each week of the NFL season.

I’m going to give you a few adds each week for you to think about and consider. I play in deep dynasty IDP leagues so my recommendations will be based on that. You won’t get the big name adds from me because they are probably owned already. Let’s get ready for Week 8!

Defensive End

Ronald Blair (SF)
He’s definitely a player to target. I love his jump off the line and his burst into the ball. He is capable of getting a tackle for a loss weekly and that’s a nice boost for our scoring. The stats are not coming yet, but he will continue to learn and big things will be coming for him. Get him added and you will enjoy the success down the road.

Defensive Tackle

Vincent Taylor (MIA)
For those of you in leagues that require more than one tackle started, he is a nice prospect to stash and even to start during your bye weeks. With a couple of tackles a week and bonus points for leagues that score the tackles for a loss, he will be an option if you are in need of help.

Linebackers

Kendell Beckwith (TB)
This would be my best guess in the crazy linebacker situation that we have in Tampa. He’s worth a speculative add at this point. Will they bring in someone off the street? Maybe, but my best guess would be this guy stepping in and holding it down.

Safety

Will Parks (DEN)
Darien Stewart should be held out this week with a neck stinger and Will Parks will take over for him. It’s a good add if you’re in need of a start as they play the high-powered Chiefs offense this week.

Cornerback

Pierre Desir (IND)
It’s always a challenge to target corners at this point in the season. Desir looks like the best option in the available player pool. He will go against the Raiders and should be good against whoever they toss out to play wide receiver. Last week against the Buffalo Bills he managed four tackles and should at least match that this week.

Get after it and good luck this week!
