FanDuel NBA Value Plays: Friday (11/9)

FanDuel NBA Value Plays: Friday (11/9)

There are seven games on tap for Friday. The salaries aren’t top-heavy, so you won’t be forced into scrambling for a bargain-bin play to balance out a big expenditure. Here are some value plays for Friday in the $5-6k range.

Point Guard

D’Angelo Russell (BKN): $6,400 @ DEN
D’Angelo Russell’s numbers are trending up with him becoming the focal point of the Nets’ offense. His minutes had been restricted last week, but that seems to be in the past. He has scored 34.4 and 32.7 FPTS in his last two games. While his efficiency could use some improvement, Russell is putting up stats across the board, which is always useful when accumulating fantasy points.

Shooting Guard

Terrence Ross (ORL): $4,800 vs. WAS
Terrence Ross’ fantasy points have been a bit volatile lately, but on Friday Orlando will host the struggling Wizards, and Ross will see extra minutes with the Magic holding out Jonathan Isaac (ankle). Over his last five games, Ross is averaging 23.4 FPTS, ranging from 18.4 to 30.4 FPTS, and has been a reliable source of triples all season.

Small Forward

Jae Crowder (UTA): $5,000 vs. BOS
Jae Crowder has seen 30+ minutes in all but one of his last six starts and is averaging 30.2 on the season. He has scored double-digit points in those last six starts, ranging from 12 to 21 points, and is averaging 14.2 on the season. Again over the last six starts, Crowder is averaging seven three-point attempts per game, sinking 2.5. He’s generally good for about six assists too. This all adds up to around 27 FPTS per game.

Power Forward

Marcus Morris (BOS): $5,100 @ UTA
Morris is off to a nice start this reason. He had a bit of a clunker on Monday, but in the game prior to that sank a season-high 23 points. On Thursday he scored 17 points with eight rebounds. In his last five games, Morris has averaged 27 minutes, 15.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.6 trebles. His other stats aren’t much, you can expect one assist (although he did get four on Thursday) and maybe a single block or steal. Nonetheless, this all translates into an average of 26.6 FPTS over his last five, and if the Monday clunker is an anomaly, Morris can be expected to yield between 28 and 35 FPTS a night.

Center

Al Horford (BOS): $6,600 @UTA
Al Horford is a productive option at center for those who don’t want to pay top dollar. He is averaging 29.8 minutes, 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.2 blocks. All this translates into a 29.9 FPT average. Over his last five games, Horford has scored 28.7, 28.8, 27.5, 36 and 26 FPTS. It’s nothing extraordinary, but it’s a nice consistency.
