FanDuel NFL Cash Game Lineup Advice: Week 10

FanDuel NFL Cash Game Lineup Advice: Week 10

For Week 10, we return to only four teams on a bye (Baltimore, Denver, Houston, and Minnesota). The experts in Vegas has given us five games with an over/under of at least 50 total points, with the NO/CIN matchup leading the way (54 projected points).

As for injuries, these players are already listed as “out” for Week 10: A.J. Green, Chris Thompson, and Ronald Jones. Also, while it won’t be official until the inactive report drops on Sunday, it looks like Rob Gronkowski will miss the game against Tennessee, too.

These write-ups are posted every Saturday before the final injury report comes out. If news comes out prior to kickoff, look for updated advice and suggestions on my Twitter page, @CharlieSideHstl.

Quarterbacks

Ryan Fitzpatrick (TB): $7,600 vs. WSH
As long as Fitzpatrick starts, and as long as FanDuel continues to underprice the Tampa Bay quarterback, I’ll continue to plug in Fitzmagic into my DFS lineup. He threw four TDs last week and notched 26.02 FD points in Week 9 against the Panthers. This week, Washington is on the schedule. Washington’s secondary allowed four passing TDs to Matt Ryan and the Falcons in Week 9. The opposing QB has thrown for at least 310 yards in back-to-back games, too.

Other notables

Drew Brees (NO): $8,400 @ CIN
Tom Brady (NE): $8,300 @ TEN
Jared Goff (LAR): $8,100 vs. SEA

Running Backs

Leonard Fournette (JAC): $7,000 @ IND
He’s baaack. In fact, there is zero injury distinction on Fournette’s status for Week 10. Thankfully, he’s price tag is reasonable enough to roll the dice on a running back who hasn’t played since September 30th. We’ve all seen what Fournette can do (14 total TDs in 16 games last year), but we’re also aware of his health risks.

Mike Davis (SEA): $5,800 @ LAR
With Chris Carson banged up going into last week, Davis led the Seahawks with 15 carries for 62 yards against the Chargers. On top of that, he caught seven passes for 45 yards. The Rams defense allowed five touchdowns to opposing running backs in the last three weeks. Sure, three of those TDs went to Alvin Kamara, but Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams scored the other two times.

Other notables

David Johnson (ARI): $6,900 @ KC
Nick Chubb (CLE): $6,700 vs. ATL
Duke Johnson (CLE): $5,600 vs. ATL

Wide Receivers

Tyler Boyd (CIN): $7,800 vs. NO
I’m a little disappointed that FanDuel boosted Boyd’s price this week. I was hoping to get a deal on the Bengals receiver with A.J. Green out, but I’m still willing to pay the price to have him in my lineup. Before the bye, Boyd caught nine passes for 138 yards and a TD (10 targets) against the Bucs. Without Green in the lineup, Boyd’s numbers should hold strong for Week 10.

Julian Edelman (NE): $7,300 @ TEN
While the Patriots have a knack for spreading the football around, Edelman continues to get consistent looks. He’s received 10 targets in back-to-back games. Prior to those big target games, Edelman scored in back-to-back contests, too. So, whether it’s through receptions or from a TD, Edelman should get enough stats to make his salary worth the add to your FD roster.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling (GB): $5,400 vs. MIA
MVS was a fantasy football waiver wire MVP in recent weeks. Without Geronimo Allison, MVS has moved into the No. 3 spot on the Green Bay WR depth chart. He’s tallied over 100 receiving yards in two of the past three games and he scored in the game where he didn’t reach the 100-yard plateau. The downside to MVS is that he relies on the big plays. He hasn’t caught more than three passes in the last three games. He averages around 21 yards per catch this year.

Other notables

Tyreek Hill (KC): $7,600 vs. ARI
Mike Evans (TB): $7,500 vs. WSH
Cooper Kupp (LAR): $6,500 vs. SEA

Tight Ends

O.J. Howard (TB): $6,500 vs. WSH
If there is one player who’s happy about having Fitzpatrick under center, it’s Howard. Of Fitzpatrick’s four passing TDs last week, two went to Howard (four receptions for 53 yards). If fact, of Howard’s five receiving touchdowns, four came from Fitzpatrick.

Other notables

Jimmy Graham (GB): $6,300 vs. MIA
Trey Burton (CHI): $6,100 vs. DET
Jack Doyle (IND): $5,600 vs. JAC

Defense

Bears (CHI): $5,000 vs. DET
The Bears defense did us proud last week as they compiled 28 FD points against the Bills. The defense scored twice, picked off Nathan Peterman three times, and sacked the QB four times in Week 9. This week, Khalil Mack is back. As for the Lions, they’ve lost back-to-back games and scored no more than 14 points in both contests (vs. SEA and @ MIN).

Other notables

Jets (NYJ): $4,900 vs. BUF
Chiefs (KC): $4,600 vs. ARI
Packers (GB): $3,900 vs. MIA
