There are 10 games scheduled in the NHL this evening. With heavy favorites and high projected totals, there should be no shortage of offense. Sites have been aggressive with their pricing tonight, leading to value hunting. Let’s take a deeper dive into the slate, and uncover some of the best DFS options.

Center

Jack Eichel (BUF): $7,600 vs. SJ
At a glance, this looks like a tough matchup against the Sabres. However, San Jose has allowed 55 even-strength goals against (third worst in the NHL). Buffalo plays at a slower pace than most Eastern Conference teams, but with so many stars on the ice this should be a high-event game. The majority of the offense for Buffalo is filtered through the top line, which Jack Eichel centers. Eichel is averaging 17.6 fantasy points per game and has been the best player on his team. On home ice, Eichel is a great option.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi (MON): $3,700 vs. CAR
With so many expensive players in elite matchups to pay up for, finding value will be very important. Jesperi Kotkaniemi will play on the Canadiens’ third forward line and look to add to his offensive output. With 12 points this season in the first 24 games, Kotkaniemi has been a pleasant surprise, adding scoring depth for Montreal. He will see power-play time as well on the top unit which makes him an even stronger “punt” option.

Wing

Jeff Skinner (BUF): $7,200 vs. SJ
As Jack Eichel’s right-hand man, Jeff Skinner has found success in his new home. One of the better UFAs at the end of the season, Skinner is looking for a big payday and will do everything in his power to finish the season strong. The one pause with Skinner is his shooting percentage. At over 20% Skinner is scoring at an unrealistic rate. Even though regression is coming, the matchup and linemates are too good to pass up.

Nikita Kucherov (TB): $8,600 vs. ANH
Lining up alongside Brayden Point will be Nikita Kucherov. The Russian winger is one of the most dynamic forwards in the league and has found fantastic chemistry. Now with 32 points in 24 games this season, Kucherov has produced 12 points in his last six games. The matchup against Anaheim could not get much better as the Ducks are among the league’s worst in CF%.

Patrik Laine (WPG): $8,400 vs. PIT
If you did not get a chance to see Patrik Laine’s last outing, you missed something special as he scored five goals against the St. Louis Blues. He now leads the NHL with 19 goals in just 22 games played. The Finnish superstar started the season slowly but now has 11 goals in his last four games. Outside of Brayden Point, Laine might be the hottest player in the league.

Kyle Connor (WPG): $6,000 vs. PIT
With Laine scoring all of those goals, Kyle Connor has enjoyed helping him out. Recording four assists in their last game, Connor is averaging over a point-per-game. The Winnipeg Jets are a great team on home-ice and will score goals against a defensively challenged Penguins team.

Defense

Victor Hedman (TB): $6,400 vs. ANH
As the third piece of an expensive Lightning stack, Victor Hedman is a great fantasy defenseman to consider. He provides plenty of DFS upside where he shoots the puck, puts up points, and also contributes in the box score. Hedman is a sure thing in cash games with a high floor while also proving to have a high ceiling.

Rasmus Ristolainen (BUF): $4,400 vs. SJ
The number one defenseman on Buffalo in both ice-time and fantasy production is a great final stacking option against San Jose. At a very reasonable price, Ristolainen is playing over 25 minutes per game now and is producing points. As a part of a very hot team, Ristolainen is an important salary-saving option at a very volatile position.

Goalie

Devan Dubnyk (MIN): $9,100 vs. ARI
Minnesota is a big favorite this evening at -190. Arizona is not the team of old, they have taken a lot more shots this year. However, they are still struggling to find goals. After making a big trade on Sunday, the Coyotes are grasping for any offensive answer. The Wild are a very good team and even better at home. Dubnyk consistently has some of the best statistics each year and also has a great chance at being the highest-scoring goalie.
