Going into the season, my goal was to nail 30% of these bold predictions over the season. I already clinched that mark then tallied two more last week including Elijah McGuire as an RB1. This week, I’m hoping to finish on a strong note by hitting at least 4 out of 10. Remember, a bold prediction is something the general public would give a 10% chance of happening but I believe has a 30% chance. Here we go!

#10 Jordy Nelson will be a top 15 wide receiver this week
Don’t look now, but Nelson has actually been incredible over the last month. The touchdowns haven’t exactly been there, but consistent targets and yards certainly have. If you are excited about Robert Foster in that awful Bills’ offense, you have all the more reason to use Nelson this week, especially since his matchup and game script versus the Chiefs are about as good as you’ll find all year.
Final Prediction: 10 targets, 7 receptions, 74 yards, 1 TD
#9 Jameis Winston will finish as a top 3 quarterback this week
Hold on a second, you are ready to give up on a guy who dominated all season until he came into a stretch of three near-impossible games versus the Ravens, Cowboys and red-hot Saints in a huge storm? I’m not with you. I’m still a big believer in his fantasy ability and it is only multiplied this week in a potential shootout versus the Falcons and their abysmal secondary.
Final Prediction: 30/44, 368 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INT, 5 carries, 19 yards
#8 Royce Freeman will end up a top 12 running back this week
The Chargers have a stout defense, there is no doubt about that. The game script will also not be in Freeman’s favor and Booker is by no means going away. For all those reasons, many will be hesitant to play Freeman, but I’m convinced you’d play Phillip Lindsay in this matchup without hesitation and I think the same should be true for Freeman. He isn’t the same kind of back, but I consider him to be every bit as talented and now that he is in a featured role, I think everyone is about to realize that.
Final Prediction: 23 carries, 165 yards, 1 TD, 1 reception, 2 yards
#7 Chris Conley will be a top 25 wide receiver this week
The Raiders have been awful on defense, especially through the air, but believe it or not, they have been as good as any team in football at shutting down number one receivers somehow. Granted, Tyreek Hill is a different breed of number one receiver, but there is certainly a chance they bracket him into another rough game. Patrick Mahomes is going to get his one way or another and I’m betting part of it comes through Conley.
Final Prediction: 5 targets, 5 receptions, 72 yards, 1 TD
#6 The Giants will end up a top 8 D/ST this week
The last time Dallas came into Week 17 and said they would play their starters, they saw just two offensive series then were planted firmly on the bench. I’m anticipating the same things comes to pass this weekend which would make the suddenly hot Giants’ defense a worthwhile gamble.
Final Prediction: 16 points allowed, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 TD

#5 Teddy Bridgewater will finish as a top 10 quarterback this week
Final Prediction: 26/33, 290 yards, 2 TDs, 4 carries, 28 yards, 1 TD
#4 Rod Smith will end up a top 24 running back this week
Final Prediction: 14 carries, 73 yards, 2 receptions, 11 yards, 1 TD
#3 Donte Moncrief will be a top 30 wide receiver this week
Final Prediction: 8 targets, 6 receptions, 83 yards, 1 TD
#2 Jeff Wilson will be a top 15 running back this week
Final Prediction: 16 carries, 79 yards, 1 TD, 7 receptions, 50 yards
#1 Evan Engram will finish as a top 3 tight end this week
Final Prediction: 10 targets, 8 receptions, 84 yards, 1 TD

Jake Kumerow will be a top 30 wide receiver this week
Final Prediction: 5 targets, 4 receptions, 106 yards, 1 TD
