2018 Fantasy Football: Week 15 Injury Updates

The fantasy playoffs and injuries coexist with such a heated tension. Nobody likes it, but inevitably after 14 weeks of football, people get banged up and our fantasy teams end up looking like an episode of The Walking Dead. Week 15 brings us more of the same but it’s important to understand the upside that can be leveraged to win championships. Let’s jump into the news for this week’s games.

Houston at New York Jets (Saturday, 4:30 PM ET)

Houston: The Texans come into week 15 looking quite healthy. The only player of note showing up on their injury report is WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) who carries a questionable designation after a week of limited practice. UPDATE: Keke Coutee has now officially been ruled out.

New York Jets: RB Isaiah Crowell (toe) and WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) have both been ruled out for Saturday’s matchup against the Texans. Look for Elijah McGuire to take over the majority of the backfield work while Crowell is on the injury report.

Cleveland at Denver (Saturday, 8:20 PM ET)

Cleveland: The big news for the Browns is that CB Denzel Ward (concussion) will miss a second-straight game as he is ruled out on the team’s injury report after missing practice this week.

Denver: The Broncos will also be without their shutdown CB Chris Harris Jr. (fibula) for a second-straight week as well. Joining him on the injury report is DE Derek Wolfe (concussion) with a questionable designation.  

Arizona at Atlanta (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Arizona: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Atlanta: The only player to note on the Falcons injury report s RB Ito Smith (knee/neck). Smith was limited in practice on Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Tampa Bay at Baltimore (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Tampa Bay: The Buccaneers will be without WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) for the third week in a row. Expect Godwin and Humphries to continue to see increased usage in his place. Additionally, DE Jason Pierre-Paul (knee/hip) is questionable on the injury report after limited practice this week.

Baltimore: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Detroit at Buffalo (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Detroit: This week’s injury report lists both RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) and WR Bruce Ellington (hamstring) as out for the Lions’ matchup against the Bills. Additionally, QB Matt Stafford (back) is questionable.

Buffalo: The Bills’ backfield has taken a bit of a hit, this week, as both RBs LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Chris Ivory (shoulder) are listed as questionable. Joining them with a questionable designation on the injury report is K Stephen Hauschka (hip).

Green Bay at Chicago (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Green Bay: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Chicago: The Bears’ injury report shows S Eddie Jackson (shin) as questionable after he missed practice on Friday. Additionally, WR Allen Robinson (hip) is listed as questionable despite a full participation in Friday’s practice.

Oakland at Cincinnati (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Oakland: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Cincinnati: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Dallas at Indianapolis (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Dallas: Going into their matchup against the Colts, the Cowboys have already ruled out TE Geoff Swaim (wrist), G Zack Martin (knee), and DL David Irving (ankle). They do, however, hope to see both LB Sean Lee (hamstring) and WR Tavon Austin (groin) back in the starting lineup, though both carry a questionable designation on the injury report, going into the weekend.

Indianapolis:  The big news on the injury report for the Colts is WR T.Y. Hilton (ankle) being listed as questionable and missing a full week of practice.

Washington at Jacksonville (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Washington: TE Jordan Reed (ankle/foot) has been ruled out for this week’s matchup against the Jaguars. Joining him on the injury report, with a questionable designation, is Josh Doctson (concussion).

Jacksonville: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Miami at Minnesota (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Miami: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Minnesota: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

Tennessee at New York Giants (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Tennessee: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

New York Giants: The lone player on the Giants’ injury report is a big one: Odell Beckham Jr. (quad) is out for Sunday’s Week 15 game.

Seattle at San Francisco (Sunday, 4:05 PM ET)

Seattle The Seahawks will be without LB K.J. Wright (knee) and RB Rashaad Penny (knee) this week. Listed as questionable and joining them on the injury report is WR Doug Baldwin (hip).

San Francisco: S Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. On offense, the 49ers list RB Matt Breida (ankle), WR Marquise Goodwin (calf), and WR Dante Pettis (foot) all as questionable on this week’s injury report.

New England at Pittsburgh (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

New England: In the strangest news of the week, there is no fantasy relevant information to report, as the Patriots have a clean injury report.

Pittsburgh: The Steelers are cautiously optimistic that RB James Conner (ankle) may return this week. He was limited in Friday practice and was listed on Friday’s injury report as questionable. RB Jaylen Samuels and Stevan Ridley would continue to share the backfield in his absence.

Philadelphia at Los Angeles Rams (Sunday, 8:20 PM ET)

Philadelphia: The Eagles have officially ruled out QB Carson Wentz (back) and LB Jordan Hicks (calf) on the official injury report. DE Michael Bennett and CB Avonte Maddox are listed as questionable.

Los Angeles Rams: There is no fantasy relevant information to report.

New Orleans at Carolina (Monday, 8:15 PM ET)

New Orleans: There is no fantasy relevant information to report but check the report before games lock on Sunday as the Monday night teams have not finalized their injury reports.

Carolina: The Panthers’ injury report shows that K Graham Gano (knee) has missed both practices, so far this week, keep an eye on any updates, as the Monday night teams have not finalized their injury reports.

As always, injury information is a fluid element and should be treated as such. Things change between the final injury reports and game-time so make sure to stay alert and watch for news as we go through Week 15.
