2019 MLB Top Amateur Prospects PREMIUM
This time two years ago, no one in dynasty owned, let alone heard of some of today’s top prospects including Jo Adell, Keston Hiura, Brendan McKay, MacKenzie Gore, Hunter Greene and Royce Lewis. If you could snatch up all those names in advance, knowing how their stock would take off, it would make all the sense in the world, even if it ate up your precious roster spots. Many leagues allow for this, but for most owners, the thought hasn’t crossed their mind or they don’t know anything about the players. Perhaps you think they are too far away and the risk is too high. Today, I’ll tell you about 10 players who have a great shot at being top 100 prospects this time next year and top 25 guys two years from now just like the list of names above. For you super deep league guys, I’ve got my top 50 listed at the bottom.
#10 Andrew Vaughn (1B, California, 2019 Draft)
The burly first basemen could seemingly end up anywhere in the first round of the draft. If a team falls in love with his incredible hit tool and power, he could sneak into the top five, but more often than not, players of his size and position fall down draft boards like Seth Beer from last year’s class. Regardless of where he is picked, his .402/.531/.819 line will surely translate to fantasy baseball. His best comp may be a young Kevin Youkilis.
