Shane Bieber (CLE): $8,900 vs. TOR
Bieber checks in as my favorite cash game pitcher of the main slate. The guys in Vegas gave him a solid -145 money line designation, which rates among the best of any pitcher in this timeframe. It will continue to be cold in Cleveland (45-50 degrees), which could suppress hitting power. Bieber is making his season debut after holding a solid strikeout rate (9.26 K/9) and shiny 3.30 xFIP in his rookie campaign. This is a Toronto lineup that he can certainly handle.
Kevin Gausman (ATL): $7,200 vs. MIA
Gausman has a significantly cheaper salary worth perusing if you need the savings. He’ll settle into this home matchup against a subpar Miami offense while listed as a -148 money line favorite. Not only that, but the Marlins have one of the lowest run-scoring projections of the night. There’s some concern with Gausman coming off a shoulder injury, but he threw 90 pitches in a minor-league start on Saturday. He should be ready to resume a full workload in this encouraging draw.
