FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Monday (4/15) PREMIUM
FanDuel has a nine-game main slate on this Monday night, and it’s an interesting slate from a pitching perspective. The name value is certainly there tonight, but with tough matchups, hitter-friendly pitching environments, and injury concerns there isn’t an obvious chalk play. KC @ CWS currently has the highest total of any game on this slate with a 9.5 O/U, but the total for LAA @ TEX hasn’t been released yet, and I suspect that game will have the highest expected run total, contingent on the status of Mike Trout.
Luis Castillo (CIN): $8,800 @ LAD
Castillo has been lights out through his first three starts this season and owns a 0.92 ERA and 11.44 K/9 through 19.2 innings. The peripherals back up his performance as well, as Castillo has a monster 16.7% SwStr rate this year along with a 1.98 FIP. Among the other high-priced options Trevor Bauer ($11,200) is too expensive for GPP play, Clayton Kershaw ($10,200) is coming off the injured list and will be on a short leash, and Noah Syndergaard ($9,900) and Aaron Nola ($9,300) are facing each other in a terrible pitching environment, as the wind will be blowing out 20-25 MPH in Philadelphia. He’s been every bit as good as the top tier of pitchers, and even though the matchup is tough against the Dodgers, Castillo is a great value at his price tag.
