Welcome to our MLB FanDuel lineup advice for Monday, April 29. The scoring could be evenly spread around in this one, as all but one game (LAD @ SF) has an expected total between eight and nine runs. That means there isn’t any obvious chalk for hitting tonight, and owners can get creative with which pitchers they want to target.

Starting Pitcher
Patrick Corbin (WAS): $9,700 vs. STL
Corbin has been dominant in his first season in Washington, owning a 2.48 ERA and 6.5 K/BB ratio his first five starts. His slider is better than ever, and it’s paying off for a 30.7% strikeout rate and 12.7% SwStr rate. The Cardinals have struggled against left-handed pitching this season with an 86 wRC+ and 21.5% strikeout rate as a team. On paper, their lineup should perform better against lefties, but Corbin has been so good that owners shouldn’t be afraid to pay up for him. For high-end pitchers, Corbin is preferable to Justin Verlander ($11,300). Verlander costs $1,600 more and faces a Twins lineup with a 119 wRC+ and .245 ISO against right-handed pitching this season.
