Saturday’s are always fun because you usually have two slates to pick between. If you’re a morning person, you can go with the six-game schedule starting at 1ET. If you’re a night person, the 7ET eight-game slate is probably more for you. I happen to be a night person, so that’s the slate that we’re going to breakdown. In terms of weather, it appears to be a pretty clear night, so let’s get to some of our plays. If you have any comments or questions, hit me up on Twitter @BartilottaJoel.

Pitcher
Jacob deGrom (NYM): $11,000 vs. MIA
There are actually a handful of elite pitchers on this slate but deGrom is easily the cream of the crop. The numbers speak for themselves, with deGrom posting the best ERA and WHIP in the majors dating back to the beginning of last season. It’s really no surprise when you consider the fact that he has a 2.83 career FIP and 28.2 percent K rate. Those numbers mean that he’s worth using against anybody, but especially the Marlins. Miami currently ranks dead-last in runs scored, xwOBA and xSLG, which will become even tougher in a pitcher’s haven like Citi Field. That’s why DeGrom enters this matchup as a -300 favorite with the Marlins projected to score only three runs.
