It’s been a fun season and we’re getting scary close to the All-Star break. That means it’s time to keep track of roster changes and pitching rotations, as teams will do some goofy things this close to the break. What’s also fascinating about this slate is that we have numerous elite offense facing bad pitching. That doesn’t even take the Coors Field game into consideration, which should make for a wild slate.

Pitcher
Michael Pineda (MIN): $8,200 at CWS
There are so many great offenses on today’s schedule, so I’m going cheap at pitcher. While Pineda’s 5.04 ERA looks ugly, he’s quietly had a solid year for the Twins. That’s evident by his 67:14 K:BB ratio and his 1.21 WHIP. We’re talking about a guy who has a career 3.47 xFIP, 3.49 SIERA, and 23.9% K rate, which would indicate that he’s been unlucky to obtain this sort of ERA. I love that he gets to face the White Sox, who rank 28th in strikeout rate while sitting 23rd in wOBA and 24th in runs scored.
