Saturdays are always interesting because we usually have two slates. For today, I prefer the night to the day slate. Part of that is because I am not a morning person and I tend to follow West Coast baseball a little more thoroughly. There’s also a ton of great values on the evening slate, and I just loved the lineup I was able to put together. With that in mind, let’s get to some of my top plays.

Pitcher
Rich Hill (LAD): $11,000 at SF
Many DFS owners are going to pivot to Max Scherzer in a great matchup against the San Diego Padres, but I’m going to stray from the pack and go with Hill. Getting to use someone this reliable at moderate ownership is why I really like Hill, who probably has the best matchup on the board. The Giants currently rank 28th in runs scored, 29th in OPS, and 29th in wOBA. That’s really no surprise when you consider the fact that Oracle Park is arguably the friendliest pitcher’s park in the majors. Hill’s numbers are simply ridiculous too, with the southpaw posting a 2.25 ERA and 1.05 WHIP this season while posting a 28.9 percent K rate since the beginning of 2016. That’s why he enters this game as a -225 favorite with the Giants projected for only 3.2 runs.
