Wednesday features a split slate of MLB action including a 10-game evening slate which will be the focus of this article. Roster construction could swing depending on the status of Max Scherzer for Wednesday’s game against the Phillies. If Scherzer, who reportedly broke his nose in batting practice, is unable to start then there are a lot of underpriced Phillies bats who will likely be in a good spot, led by Bryce Harper at just $3,800. So, watch the news coming out of the nation’s capital and pivot accordingly.

Zack Greinke (ARI): $9,000 vs. COL
I do have some interest in Lucas Giolito, especially if more salary space is opened up if Scherzer is out. However, Greinke is also a strong option and will save you over $2,000 compared to Giolito. Greinke hasn’t allowed a run in his last two starts which both came on the road, and he has been even better at home over the last few seasons. He’ll face a Rockies team that ranks near the bottom in the league in wOBA (29th) and wRC+ (29th) against righties on the road this season with a 25.6% strikeout rate (6th). Greinke has also pitched well against Rockies hitters over his career (which includes plenty of games at Coors Field) with a .305 wOBA allowed and a 22.9% strikeout rate.
