Carlos Carrasco (SP – CLE)
Cleveland placed Carrasco on the 10-day injured list June 5, retroactive to June 2, with a blood condition. He wasn’t feeling right over the last few weeks and decided to take some time away from baseball. The exact details of the injury have yet to be revealed, but this looks like a serious situation. While his timetable is up in the air, the club hopes he can return this season.

Mitch Haniger (OF – SEA)
In this week’s edition of injuries no man should ever have to endure, Haniger went on the 10-day injured list June 7 with a ruptured testicle after fouling a ball off of himself. He has undergone surgery and is currently resting at home. It is not clear when he will return to baseball activities.

J.D. Martinez (OF – BOS)
Martinez hasn’t played since exiting Thursday’s game early with back spasms. He is currently listed as day-to-day, but the Red Sox expect him to be back in the lineup sometime this week.

Andrew McCutchen (OF – PHI)
McCutchen tore the ACL in his left knee and will miss the rest of the season. He was officially placed on the 10-day injured list last Tuesday.

Trevor Cahill (SP – LAA)
Cahill went on the 10-day injured list June 8, retroactive to June 4, with right elbow soreness. He played catch over the weekend and might be able to return sometime in June.

Miles Mikolas (SP – STL)
Mikolas left Friday’s last start with a contusion on his right forearm. He is currently listed as day-to-day and is expected to make his next scheduled turn Wednesday.

Adam Jones (OF – ARI)
Jones has not played since leaving Tuesday’s game with hamstring tightness. He is currently listed as day-to-day and hopes to avoid a trip to the injured list.

Robinson Cano (2B – NYM)
Cano couldn’t finish his first game back from the injured list Wednesday after experiencing more quad tightness. The Mets placed him back on the IL Sunday.

Joc Pederson (OF – LAD)
Pederson was removed from Saturday’s game with lower back and side stiffness. He is currently listed as day-to-day. Even if healthy, he might have sat out Sunday against lefty Madison Bumgarner anyway.

Buster Posey (C – SF)
Shortly after returning from a concussion, Posey was placed back on the injured list June 5, retroactive to June 2, with a hamstring strain. He may be able to return when first eligible this Wednesday.

Caleb Smith (SP – MIA)
Smith hit the injured list June 7 with hip inflammation. The Marlins hope he can return later this month.

Matt Strahm (SP – SD)
Strahm went on the 10-day IL list last Wednesday with a rib strain. He might be able to return before the end of June.

Tommy Pham (OF – TB)
Pham, who had just come back from calf discomfort, got hit on the wrist with a pitch Friday. X-rays were negative, and he returned to Tampa Bay’s starting lineup on Sunday.

Updating Previous Injuries

Giancarlo Stanton (OF – NYY): Biceps, Shoulder, Calf
Stanton has been on the injured list since April 1 with a Grade 1 biceps strain, a shoulder strain, and calf tightness. He is expected to begin a rehab assignment this week and could finally return to the Yankees next week.

Hunter Dozier (1B/3B – KC): Chest
Sidelined with chest tightness, Dozier could return as early as Tuesday.

Willie Calhoun (OF – TEX): Quad
Calhoun, on the 10-day injured list since May 22, is close to beginning a Triple-A rehab assignment and might be able to return to the Rangers sometime in late June.

Brandon Nimmo (OF – NYM): Neck
Nimmo has been dealing with a bulging disc and whiplash in his neck. He went on a Class A Advanced rehab assignment this week and is nearing a return sometime in June.

Hunter Strickland (RP – SEA): Lat
Strickland is throwing bullpen sessions and is inching closer to returning from a lat strain that has sidelined him since March 30.

Dee Gordon (2B – SEA): Wrist
Out since May 21 with a wrist contusion, Gordon started a rehab assignment on June 7 and could return as early as Tuesday.

Jake Lamb (3B – ARI): Quad
Lamb is recovering from a Grade 2 quad strain that has kept him on the injured list since April 13. He is currently on a Triple-A rehab assignment and could return to the Diamondbacks before the end of June.

Justin Upton (OF – LAA): Toe
Upton has been on the 10-day injured list since March 28, retroactive to March 25, with turf toe on his left foot. He started a Class A Advanced rehab assignment June 7 and could return to the Angels before the end of June.

Jose Altuve (2B – HOU): Hamstring
After initial updates suggested Altuve would return quickly from a mild hamstring strain, he is finally expected to begin a rehab assignment this Sunday, over a month after getting placed on the 10-day injured list. He still has a chance at returning to the Astros in June.

George Springer (OF – HOU): Hamstring
Springer, out since May 25 with a Grade 2 hamstring strain, ran at 90 percent on June 3 and is expected to start a rehab assignment this Sunday. He could also aim to come back later this month.
