DraftKings MLB Lineup Advice: Saturday (7/27) PREMIUM
This is a rare Saturday where most games will be played at night. We actually have a 10-game slate ahead of us, which is one of the biggest Saturday nights of the season. There’s also not a ton of inclement weather to worry about, and that’s always a bonus.
Mike Clevinger (CLE): $11,400 at KC
I’m not big on the slate’s pitching options, so let’s go with someone safe. Clevinger is just that, as his 2.45 xFIP, 1.04 WHIP, and 39.4 percent K rate are some of the best numbers in baseball. If you take out the June 17 start when he got injured and his first disastrous outing off the IL, Clevinger has allowed just seven runs across 36 innings in seven other starts while striking out 56 batters. That definitely puts him in play against the Royals. In fact, Kansas City currently ranks 23rd in runs scored, 24th in OPS, 25th in wOBA, and 26th in xSLG. That’s why he enters this matchup as a -160 favorite with the Royals projected for fewer than four runs.
Wilson Ramos (NYM): $3,400 vs. PIT
While Ramos hasn’t had a great year by his standards, he’s still one of the best hitting catchers in the majors. Dating back to 2016, he has a .290 AVG and .805 OPS. Those are impressive numbers from the catcher position, and this year’s .728 OPS still isn’t terrible behind the plate. He gets to face Trevor Williams, who’s pitching to a 4.96 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. Getting a matchup like that at a price like this is impossible to overlook.
