Domingo German (NYY): $8,600 vs. TOR
German has the best odds of any starting pitcher tonight while stepping in as a -290 moneyline favorite at home. Most of that revolves around Toronto’s subpar offense, as the Jays rank 23rd in wRC+ (87) with the sixth-highest strikeout rate at 24.4%. German hit somewhat of a rough-patch while battling through a hip injury in late May and early June. He ended up on the injured list, bouncing back for a quality start against the Mets (July 3) prior to the All-Star break. Getting another week to fully heal probably doesn’t hurt.
Other Pitchers to consider: Gerrit Cole (HOU), Robbie Ray (ARI), Caleb Smith (MIA)
