FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Monday (7/15)

Jose Ramirez has finally been hitting again for Cleveland

The All-Star break is over, which means all you All-Stars are ready to get back into the DFS grind. We’ve got a 10-game slate on FanDuel tonight, which is rather large for a Monday evening. It’s also a high-scoring slate, as three games (TOR @ BOS, DET @ CLE, ATL @ MIL) all have expected totals in the double digits. I anticipate SF @ COL to have an expected total in the double digits as well once the lines are released. That means we’ve got plenty of options tonight, and fading Coors Field is rather easy to do on this slate.

Starting Pitcher

Lucas Giolito (CWS): $9,100 @ KC

A pair of bad outings against the Cubs have taken some of the shine off Giolito, but the right-hander still boasts a repertoire among the league’s best. The underlying numbers (14.3% SwStr, 3.20 FIP) suggest that Giolito’s first-half breakout was legitimate, and he draws a cupcake matchup against the Royals in Kansas City. The Royals have an 89 wRC+, .725 OPS, and .164 ISO against right-handed pitching this season collectively, putting them below league average in all categories. FanDuel has discounted Giolito quite steeply based on those bad starts against the Cubs, but the Royals lineup isn’t close to the Cubs lineup in terms of quality, making Giolito a great value on this slate.
