Options are limited on Monday night’s seven-game MLB DFS slate on DraftKings. Pitching options that instill any level of confidence are especially hard to come by with only one high-priced pitcher on the mound along with a bunch of overpriced mid-range options. The hitting side offers a little more flexibility with a variety of solid value options and mid-range hitters in good spots.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. For reference throughout the season, be sure to bookmark our overview of MLB Park Factors and how to Use Weather to Your Advantage in MLB DFS.
Pitchers
Sonny Gray (CIN): $11,200 @ MIA
It is going to be hard to not roster Gray in almost every single lineup you build on Monday night. He is by far the top pitching option on the slate with a favorable matchup against the Marlins in Miami. The Marlins have a .299 wOBA (26th), 86 wRC+ (23rd), and a 23.0% strikeout rate (13th) over the last 30 days. Meanwhile, Gray has been dominant over his last four starts allowing a total of just one run in 24 innings while striking out 34 hitters including 10 in each of his last two starts. He is also one of the biggest Vegas favorites on the board despite being on the road. Just eat the chalk and move on.
